The Love Note Rules
(AKA, a guide to this blog.)
Introduction
Alright, well, first off, welcome to my Death Note blog. I will not waste too many words introducing myself, since this is more about re-analyzing Death Note now that I'm much older than I was when I first got into it. I loved this series a lot when I was a teenager (my icon is actually a photo of one of my physical copies of the manga from back then, in which I drew blush lines on L!) when it first started getting serialized and one of my favorite things to do with it was analysis. Specifically, character and relationship analysis. From a psychological standpoint, this series has a lot to process, so I recall those analyses with a sense of fondness. Recently, I realized that the experiences I've had since the last time I was into Death Note likely may have impacted the way I would view it now, so I've come back to take another look.
It turns out, I am still as much of a Death Note fan now as I was back then. As with any person, however, there is more to me. I am a grown adult woman who was diagnosed with autism as a child and I enjoy creating digital cartoon art on my tablet, watching anime, reading, collecting miniatures and collecting artist-made dolls and plushes. At least, that is most of what I do, anyhow. Something else I particularly enjoy though, when it comes to any piece of media that my brain hyperfixates on, is shipping. Not "crackships", however. No. I enjoy scouring for canon evidence for a pairing and that has also led me to create... this blog.
How To Use
The humans whose names are most written in this notebook are the user's preferred ship. (LawlietxMisa and MisoBirthday)
This notebook cannot make two humans fall in love, it can only possibly help to find or reveal it. Therefore, the notes found herein should be taken lightly. (I can only present evidence/arguments but cannot actually prove it to be canon.)
If the user writes a note in regards to a character's intelligence that may seem somewhat offensive, it is not intended to be taken seriously. If the reason for the accusation is not provided, the user is literally being silly. (Translation: I can and I absolutely will post memes and jokes.)
After writing the claim or thesis, an argument providing evidence wherever possible should follow. (I have my ways of obtaining screenshots/screenies and recordings, so expect my commentary to be accompanied often with these.)
This notebook shall become a (metaphorically) shared property once its contents have been shown to someone existing in the real world. (Meaning that we have to treat real people with respect in whatever we share here!)
The owner of this notebook can recognize the voices of it's original sources, Nisio Isin, Tsugumi Oba and Takeshi Obata. (Death Note as a franchise belongs to Tsugumi Oba, Takeshi Obata and Nisio Isin.)
The human who uses this notebook is either in shipping Heaven or shipping Hell. (Some days are good, some days are bad. Yet another reason to be kind to each other.)
If an argumentative submission is made after the owner of this notebook has presented their analysis, the owner reserves the right to choose whether or not to respond and if they will respond, it should follow within a few days of receiving the submission. (Basically, I may not always respond but I will try.)
The person in possession of the Love Note is subjected to seeking out only canon evidence until they discover or rediscover a new or different interest. (My hyperfixations come and go all the time. Some linger, some are short.)
If a human uses this notebook, a harbinger of analytical death usually appears before him/her/they/them/xey/xem at some point. (BEWARE OF ANTISHIPPERS.)
Harbingers of death, who will likely behave as if they are the original owners of the notebook, do not do, in principle, anything which will help or prevent the evidence collected in this notebook. (You gotta try to take antis with a bit of a grain of salt. Sometimes, they do make some well-structured and valid points and sometimes their words are unfounded. So you have to keep that in mind.)
Takeshi Obata, Tsugumi Oba and Nisio Isin have no obligation to completely explain how to read the notebook or rules which will apply to the universe and characters being discussed. (Basically, personal takes and inferences are welcome!)
ʚ🍓ɞ The original owners can extend the life of the series by publishing more chapters, but we users of this Love Note cannot.🔪 (There is much more to Death Note than simply the anime or the manga and even so, all we fans can do is make inferences based on what gets animated, voiced over or published.)
... That is all for now. Good memories and nightmares. If you would like to see organized pages dedicated to memes or one of my ships, please check out my profile!
