Request: “Okay thank you :) Anyway, the idea I had is that Ethan is currently (or was) for a friend irl. So I was thinking maybe something of what it would be like to dog sit with him? If you don't want to that is okay, I understand completely! ”
Pairing: Ethan Nestor/reader, Mark/Amy
A/n: Ahhhh! I’m so sorry! I did you no justice, anon. This came out very late and very poor and I have no excuse. Thank you so much for thi request, though! It means so much to me!
You waved goodbye as Mark and Amy drove out of the driveway, leaving Chica, Ethan and you alone in your home. You and Ethan had both agreed to take care of Chica while Mark and Amy went out on a romantic week end. It was nice for them to finally get out together without having to worry about Chica and you and Ethan were excited to have the pooch.
“Okay,” you began, “Mark gave us a bag of treats and toys. Which should we do first?” Ethan took the bag and looked through it before pulling out a rope.
“Tug of War!” He exclaimed. You smiled and shook your head before snatching the rope out of his hand and running to the living room.
“Me first!” Chica raced behind you with her tail wagging, knowing the purpose of the rope. “Alright poochie,” you sat down and waved the rope in front of her face. “It’s playtime!” Chica stretched her neck out and snatched the toy from your hands before you could get a good grip, causing you to drop I and give her a chance to run and hide with it.
“Ha! See? You’re no good at this!” Ethan said from his place. You pouted and stood up before coming up with a counter argument.
“At least I don’t scare her when I wake up screaming and falling off the bed!”
“It was one time!” Ethan explained, “and I had a nightmare!”
“Yeah, that was obvious from how hard you were laughing.” Ethan waved you off and went to find Chica. You stayed behind and giggled.
You and Ethan flipped through channels, looking for something good to watch. Chica rested across both of your laps, tuckered out from all of the days playing.
“You know,” You said, causing Ethan to turn his attention to you. “We should get Chica more often. I think it’s brought us closer together.”
“Definitely!” Ethan agreed. “She’s like our child now. I don’t think I can give her back to Mark.”
