They meet at Harrenhal, in a dance he was too shy to ask for himself. She doesn’t mind, enjoys it even, and enjoys his timid kisses even more.

He does not have the time to even contemplate wedding her, because too soon he is marching off to war after being forced into a loveless marriage to secure allies. His wedding to Catelyn is depressing at best. She mourns Brandon, and he mourns a golden goddess.

Her wedding to Robert is a most extravagant spectacle, but he had already taken her maidenhead a moon before. She had almost begged him to do it but he had given in too easily, too readily. He loves her, and she loves him. Robert is too drunk to notice.

When it is announced that the Queen is with child, he knows immediately, but still he prays the babe is Robert’s. When news of Prince Joffrey’s birth arrive, he suspicions prove correct.

Robert hosts a huge tourney to celebrate Joffrey’s first name day, and insists he and his family must come. His marriage is friendly, but it is loveless still. His wife does not stir passion in him. Her marriage is abusive, full of hatred. Her husband sickens her. They mourn a forbidden love together. By the time he leaves for Winterfell, he had sired another babe on her.

Joffrey and Myrcella are children of eight and six namedays when he sees them again. He’d just won another war and Robert had demanded he come with him to the Red Keep. He visits her bed again.

He learns of the birth of a new prince moons later as he watches Jon practice his archery. For the first time, he feels guilt. Still, he knows he would do it all over again if he had to, because his children are blessings and he loves them, no matter how much it pains him that they do not know.

When Robert sends a raven of his journey to Winterfell, he is conflicted. He is in love with his wife, adores her and their children, and hopes above all that she does not learn of his infidelity. Still, he longs for his children, longs to know them and love them, and he knows he will accept Robert’s request. He momentarily considers her, and her golden perfection, but decides quickly that what he has now with his wife is more important.

imagine a scenario with all the greens and all the blacks on dragonback. it’s all out chaos, claws flying and fire burning and just as vhaegar is about to bite into vermax just as she did arrax, a dark blur shoots up. jaws clamping into vhaegar’s throat and dragging her to the ground where aemond barely manages to get off before the black dragon starts eating her alive.

the rest of the dragon riders all land and stare in shock as a body slides off the back of the dragon they’ve now identified as the cannibal.

covered in a cloak the person approaches aemond, sitting on the ground in shock, watching as his dragon is eaten until the figure stands over him, drawing his eye to the monster who did this.

and aemond gapes as he stares into the face of an alive, cold, beautiful looking lucerys velaryon, a familiar yet distant smirk on his face.
