Okay, after thinking about this for years, I bit the bullet and started writing this story: Rings of Power with Celebrían as the protagonist of the elvendom storyline, with all the Halbrand goodness, but with an age-appropriate coming-of-age heroine.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
The War of Wrath unmade all of Beleriand and Celebrían's entire world. Her father and her brother were lost during the war, and her mother disappeared into the shadows, never to be heard from again. For three hundred years Celebrían searched, fruitlessly, relentlessly, bitterly.
Her lightless quest would finally see a sliver of light when she found herself shipwrecked and castaway on the icy northern sea with an unassuming mortal Man named Halbrand.
Has it ever occured to anyone, that if only they made the leading lady of Rings of Power Celebrian instead of Galadriel everything would make perfect sense? Like, I can't stop thinking about it. All that strange and sometimes unappealing characterization, all those weird romances, everything would just make sense. Basically nothing else has to change, and just calling her "Celebrian" would already make the story so much more sensible.
Unlike Galadriel who is ancient and has a history that RoP doesn't even want to change, Celebrian would or could be very young in a compressed Second Age . She could be headstrong, impulsive, brash, and her family history and situation would explain such a characterization flawlessly. She could have been Elwing's friend growing up, and she was young and utterly powerless during the fall of the Havens of Sirion and the kidnapping of Elrond and Elros. Or she could have returned to Sirion too late from somewhere else, staring at the wreckage in silence. This would be what made her harsh and relentless; she vowed to never be that powerless again.
She could have lost her brother AND her father during the War of Wrath. Her brother could just be Amroth, son of Galadriel and Celeborn according to some version of the legendarium. And Amroth's presumed loss could just be blamed on a company led by Sauron or a nondescript sorcery from Sauron, it would make sense (more sense than how they treated the whole Finrod business in RoP at least). Her father Celeborn could also be missing in the same way, presumed lost. Her mother (Galadriel) has understandbly grown withdrawn and distant, perhaps gone away, disappeared into the shadows of faraway lands, in search of her brother and her father. So in one age-ending war, she lost her entire family. She would be all alone in the world, but not like how Galadriel experienced tragedies over an Age interspered with joy and understanding, this Celebrian would have lost everything while young in one fell swoop, a much grander motivation to become a bitter and conflicted soul.
Her dynamics with Gil-Galad would be entirely sensible: Gil-Galad would not only be her King but also her older kinsman. It would make sense, instead of just being awkward, for Gil-Galad to order her to sail west against her protests, perhaps even with Galadriel's approval if Galadriel is not entirely MIA.
Elrond could be great friends with her and it would be the most natural dynamics. She would be close kin to Elrond, who barely has any kin left. Celebrian would be Elrond's only living kin other than Gil-Galad (and it would have to be Gil-Galad son of Fingon version). She would be this older, but not much older, sister to him. It is also perfectly in character for Elrond to love her silently without saying anything, while she friendzoned him without even thinking much. It would be so natural if she knew him as a five-year old, and of course we all know Elrond actually did love her silently for like, more than a millenium.
Now, given this set-up, this young woman utterly alone in the world, beset by every tragedy of a single moment, her family presumed dead, her mother left her to look for her father and her brother (which no doubt, she would be bitter about yet cannot protest against), all her rash actions and dallying with darkness now feel natural, sensible, sympathetic the proper journey of a young woman's growth. And when her family does return to her, it would be triumphant, cathartic, proper resolution, and not narrative logic breaking entirely. All those moments with Halbrand/Sauron and with Elrond would all be appropriate and appreciated romantic tension, instead of sheer shock value moments. And that dallying with Sauron would just be even sweeter (for the narrative tensions) thinking about her fate in the Third Age.
Even commercially it makes sense; Galadriel's daughter and Arwen's mother should be more than enough to draw in the intial audience.

New Master of Tol-in-Gaurhoth
2. The new Master of Tol-in-Gaurhoth playing a song for the elves and proving "I am not me and whatever I look and feel like" (lol)
3. Finrod and the artificial intelligence drone and superweapon gift of reparation from not-Sauron
4. Challenging the Carcharoth (and losing on purpose)
5. An impossible rescue from a certain death
6. Well what's this will you look at that (lol)
7. Returning home to Nargothrond and seeing your sister has resolved the prickly little Feanorian problem for you and staged a proper show of kingship
8. Before the Union of Maedhros, the new mysterious new Master of Minas Tirith crafts some artificial intelligence surveillance drones gifts for the three elven kings of the three Noldorin houses.
"The green glimmers of the wolf’s eyes drew closer, when Finrod suddenly heard a soft sigh originating from the mouth of the pit, somewhere near the wolves.
It was a sigh of pity, of faint sorrow, and most of all, it sounded resigned, like someone finally realizing the sheer weight of an arduous task he had been given.
Resignation was no stranger in a lightless, hopeless pit, yet when it should originate from the position of the gaoler? It was a chilling thing indeed.
The next moment there was light. A golden glow filled the pit, dim and soft, that even Beren only had to blink twice before his eyes adjusted. The light seemed to come from the form by the wolves, for that form was decidedly glowing; yet perhaps it also came from nowhere, for the pit seemed evenly lit, bathed in that gentle golden light.
And a voice asked, “Do you see well enough now?”
Like the sigh, the voice contained a trace of pity and sorrow, and it was gentle, like a physician before the most afflicted patients.
Finrod steeled himself and looked up. There on the stairs, flanked by two wolves taller than him, was a figure in black, walking slowly towards them. That form was tall and slender, seemingly a Man, yet elven fair. His jet black hair turned to russet gold at the end and seemed to glow with an inner light. His eyes, orbs of fathomless gold with rings of silver, did not glow, but looked almost as if they should have glowed, but veiled to let no light escape. His black robe and mantle were sewn with golden thread, designs of scales and wings that gleamed faintly in the wan gold light.
Finrod frowned, his mind racing to every reason, every logic, every possibility with fervor. This was Sauron. Its presence was undoubtedly the fallen Maia, its Power immense, even its form and voice seemed like the fair deception a being like Sauron would choose.
Yet this was not the Sauron he dueled days ago, that being brimming with malice, glee, and pride would never look so… contained."

Haven't hand drawn/painted anything in a long while, so getting back to it was... painful. Outcome wise. The process itself was kinda fun.
In any case, this is for a story I am currently working, something I call: treating a crack premise with utmost narrative seriousness. And the crack premise is: what if we replace Sauron in the First Age with a humanistic deity from a very non-Abrahamic tradition. and let the Archon of Contracts, god of the earth, god of gold, wealth, and commerce take a stab at loving humanity (broadly defined) for a while? So yes, this is an illustration of Zhongli-as-Sauron, in the pits of Tol-in-Gaurhoth.
But in any case, here is the link for those interested for this weird-ass-but-very-serious-story: Crack of Doom.
The life of Galadriel in a series of pictures.
AI generated based on old drawings. Midjourney is getting sooo good at generating image based on an image; it's like he gets my intentions perfectly lol.
Galadriel and Celeborn (Teleri version) in the days of yore, when the world was still young and light.
AI generated from an old piece of mine, you can probably tell which one lol.
Happy birthday to our favorite mora-less Morax!
He is my absolute favorite in the game and my most built character. So excited about his promised buffs in patch 1.3. So here is an offering to the RNGod that all of his promised buffs land without any shrinkage!
Old Friend
Venti and Zhongli having vacation.
A new banner is upon us.
I just want Jean pllleeaaassseeee.
Painting her for good luck.
Monuments of stone may yet stand, but all that once was has turned to dust.
Farewell, archaic lord.
Zhongli banner is finally dropping!! I can’t wait!! Please come home Geodaddy!!!
Genshin Impact really has a way with divine characters. Zhongli and Venti are some of the most “godlike” characters I have seen in a while.
More DilucXJean from Genshin Impact! So after the last one I promptly pulled Diluc on Childe’s banner (and Childe as well). So here is one more painting, please let me pull Jean on Zhongli’s banner RNGods!! (I am going all in until guarantee for Zhongli of course.)
Also I want to see Diluc and Jean together on the battlefield and Diluc throwing himself in front of Jean to protect her.
(Jean: but I am the tank and the healer here...)
DilucXJean from Geshin Impact.
OMG I am so in love with this game and ship this to the end of Teyvat.
(But I don’t have either arrrrgggghhhh. Not that I am unhappy with my Venti and Klee and Qiqi, but can I PLEASE pull this couple. Klee needs her parents! /jk)
Rolling for my pity in Childe’s pool tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Arafinwe and Earwen.
Finarfin’s children are so unlike him, they must get their wild streak from somewhere. It’s true, Earwen is the real wild one of the couple; especially in her youth, she was that close to being an actual mermaid. Finarfin haunted her favorite beach with the patience of a good fisherman, to excellent results.
