i only like enemies to lovers if it’s gay because i think men who are mean to women don’t deserve to live
people when they actually need to think about the media theyre consuming: 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
This is the beginning of the end of video games.
We’re already at the point where graphics and power are doing everything they possibly can with regards to the human eye.
I think it’ll take one or two more generations maximum for console manufacturers and developers to really let that sink in, so here are my predictions:
1. By the end of the 9th generation, many consumers will feel as though we’ve reached the peak of raw power
2. By the end of the 10th generation, most will feel this way.
3. The 11th generation of consoles will try and find the next technological breakthrough through brute force and/or gimmicks. It’s gonna be tactile VR or 8k or something worthless like that. And it’s not gonna work.
4. Video games rapidly die and combust, then they rise from the ashes like a phoenix. No longer able to tout graphics or possibly even gameplay, video games get weird. Fast.
Blockbuster video games will still exist much in the way that they currently do, primarily as live-service games. Everything outside of them, though, will get increasingly experimental (obviously, indie games have been here for decades, but while AAA games tread the ground of indies, indies will get even more bizarre. They may not even be recognizable as video games to us in the current day)
Mirroring what happened to painting after photography, philosophy will begin to take over gaming. Questions will arise as to what a video game even is, why make them at all, and what value do specific games bring to us. (This is already starting to become mainstream)
There won’t be a 12th generation of consoles. Some people will still try to categorize things that way, but the very term “generation” will become less and less relevant and useful as time goes on.
Eventually, video games will merge fully with fine art, in the same way as, again, photography, but also in the same way as film and recorded music. Blockbuster video games will, again, continue to exist, but when you say the word “video game”, the general populace will be just as likely to think of galleries and institutions as they are to think about sweaty 14-year-olds playing hero shooters
I can’t wait to watch video games choke on their own spit. Mark my words, incredible things will happen with their corpse.
Here's Phil Foglio's 1983 cover for Hit or Myth, by Robert Asprin.
The model for the demon was Foglio's friend Greg Ketter, owner of Dreamhaven Books in Minneapolis, who was recently photographed walking through tear gas while protesting the ongoing ICE invasion at age 70.
October 3, 1992: Sinead O’Connor appeared on Saturday Night Live singing an acapella cover of Bob Marley’s song “War”, changing some of the lyrics to include references to child abuse, and ending the performance by tearing up a photo of Pope John Paull II and saying “fight the real enemy”.
This ruined her career and she was telling the truth, as we all came to find out years later.
Please remember she didn’t consider it as a career ruiner.
To speak on how it “ruined” her career ignores her own feelings on it. Please acknowledge how she felt about it, instead of how you see it.

Honoring the working women who fought before us...
Originating over 100 years ago, International Women’s Day or Working Women’s Day celebrates the political, economic and social gains of women won through struggle.
On March 8, 1857, New York women took to the streets to protest dangerous working conditions for women textile workers. Exactly 51 years later, 15,000 women marched through New York demanding shorter hours, the right to vote and and end to child labor.
Although International Women’s Day has its origins in the United States, it was not recognized as a day of international significance until 1913. Then, in 1917 in Russia, International Women’s Day demonstrations demanding “bread and peace” in response to the 2 million deaths of Russian soldiers in World War I merged with another strike, sparking the revolution to remove the Czar. Subsequently, the provisional government granted women the right to vote. To this day, International Women’s Day serves as a reminder that our place is in the streets and that our work is not done.
In the years since the first Women’s Day, women in the United States have fought for and won access to education, to work outside the home, to birth control and abortion and the the right to vote, among other gains. These achievements, however, are not guaranteed and remain under constant attack. A prime example is the right wing’s incessant attacks on abortion rights. In the United States and around the world, women have not yet achieved full social, political or economic equality. We continue fighting to keep the gains we have made and mobilizing to demand full equality. This is the way we honor International Women’s Day: as a celebration of struggle and a day to look ahead towards continuing to build the struggle for women’s equality.

The SCP Foundation's 'top-secret' archives, declassified for your enjoyment.
character design inspiration tip, blatantly rip off an existing character design but keep drawing it by memory a lot without ever looking at references until it’s different enough to no longer be a blatant rip off
Hello, may I please have a dice palette for my D&D Paladin named Sean? He originated in a homebrew 2nd ed d&d game, and while he rolled stats high enough for a paladin, Sean only has a 4 intelligence. He likes shiny things. People describe him as a "Holy Forrest Gump." He just likes fishing, helping people, and his sun goddess. He thinks teaching someone to fish is just as important to his paladin duties as clearing out a dungeon full of vampires. Thanks so much and I love your blog!

This is SO GOOD. Thank you tons!
Well I just learned a new upsetting thing about systemic ableism today.
Keep thinking about this. It means that the people who receive SSDI can literally NEVER be a part of the group legislating the program. I feel genuinely sick to my stomach…because like…that’s the formal structure. We’ve all accepted this??????????
Felons can't vote, so it's always in politicians best interest to write laws targeting those they perceive as their opponents. If they can't do it through legislation, they will attempt to do it through executive policy. Sometimes the courts help the fight against the removal our our rights, but not often enough.
If you ever see a sexy naked person sticking out of the water quietly beckoning you I say go for it because if they’re really a person, well they’re also naked so what are they going to mug you with? A fish? And if they’re not a person then you get to die seeing the sick ass monster they’re attached to
It's a good thing I'm not the outdoors type or I'm 99% sure "Eaten by cryptid" or "Kidnapped by fae" would be how my story ends.
