My Greatest Love
What’s going to happen to us?
My mind is scattered.
I sob because it feels like goodbye.
Is it goodbye?
My heart breaks to even think it.
But, you’re my best friend.
I’ll always love you.
I just wish I knew why we can’t do it together.
Do I dare hope we still can?
Or will that just break my heart all the more.
I’m drifting in a sea of uncertainty.
Who am I without you?
I don’t really want to know.
But I want you to be happy.
But what if that’s without me?
What do I do?
What can I even say when I’m falling apart at the mere thought of losing you?
You’re my greatest love.
The one I want my whole life to be with.
The one I was certain it would happen with.
Now, I don’t know.
Because you don’t know.
And, God, that scares me.
