If you are ever looking for furniture youāve got to go to an antique store. Now when I say antique store, I donāt mean the boutique downtown that will charge you $700 for a lamp. I mean the trashy place up the street on a big lot with tables and chairs piled up for miles outside. The kind that stretches 75 miles back in a cold room with no descernable path through it. You will find the best, sturdiest, and coolest shit for amazing prices. If itās in the middle of nowhere itās even better because you can haggle.
Isnāt this how most people get haunted
Iām willing to take that chance if it means I get a hardwood armoire for my bedroom for $129.
Donāt think of it as being haunted, think of it as a ābuy one antique, get a free ghostā deal.
Okay so imagine your Standard Medieval European Fantasy Settingā¢. Now imagine thereās no magic. Like thereās still a concept of it sure, with superstitions and all that. But you will never encounter an actual wizard or anything.
But you know what is in this otherwise-fantasy setting? Superpower mutations.
Sir Lawrence, the otherwise unremarkable knight who once outran his own horse and traveled four hours without rest to alert his lord of another lordās treason and impending invasion.
The Sage of the North is shrouded in rumor and mystery; some say he is a holy man, blessed by God and able to work miracles. Others think he is closer to a witch than a priest, and still others believe he is simply a sage and healer whose skill has grown unrivaled in his old age. In comparison to these stories, the known fact that he lives beneath a freezing waterfall unbothered by the cold or lack of air barely raises any interest.
Scandinavian folklore is often Like That, thereās a whole subgenre of āhero collects men with really specific skills to win the hand of the princessā (like a guy who can run so fast you canāt see him move, a guy who can hear stuff on the other side of the world, and a guy who can shoot an arrow through an acorn from 10 miles away) and itās not counted as sorcery but as just those guys can Do That.
Round Table of Guys Who Can Do That

A piece of broken off tree branch covered by a family of Lichen. They usually grow together on tree branches and signify good air quality. Found it on my walk to my sonās school. Looks like tiny alien plants. If you zoom in, youāll see that the leafy one got some tiny black hairs š.

there should be a german word for that ambiguous fear of trying a new recipe and not knowing how it will end
The only word close to that right now is stress
not specific enough. we should invent a word. letās see what should we use as a root. hmm i suggest the prefix -noia from paranoiaĀ
Sounds good but what would the suffix be?
opsie -noia is a suffix, i typoed. for a prefix then, letās seeā¦something to do with cooking, baking, let me take a look
ok not loving any of these⦠well maybe bacanoia? howās that sound?
scratch all of that. i was over thinking.Ā culinary + paranoia =Ā culinoia
