The perfect fursona, creature brought to be by a discord server-mate(?).

Lee, the Wolpertinger

A creature from German myth, starting off as a taxidermy creation. The piece took a total ~2 hours. I'm extremely proud of have a fursona I'm happy with.

Listen: Laszlo found the cure for vampirism. He found the cure, and doesn’t know what to do about it. It caused him to shut down for 3 weeks because now that he’s found it? It’s caused a malfunction.

Why would he shut down? Why wouldn’t he just give it to Guillermo and move onto his next hobby?

Well….

Laszlo, who says time and time again how much he loves being a vampire, mister “I became a vampire to suck blood and fuck forever”, is actually the one in the house with the most connections to humanity. His knowledge of human culture, his human friends, his life as Jackie Daytona… for fuck’s sake, his favorite hobby is GARDENING.

A foray into the sun for one day made him radiant, the smile on that face was priceless, but that was just a one time thing. He could, in his mind, still be a vampire and enjoy one day in the sun. But once he found the cure, that could be every day.

His entire identity (to himself) is being a vampire, and he is madly in love with a woman who, i do not believe for once second, would even entertain the idea of taking a cure for herself. Nadja LOVES being a vampire through and through, but does Laszlo, really?

His hypnosis skills aren’t the best, he can’t do telekinesis or pyrokinisis. He can’t fly as high as the others. He doesn’t claw up walls. He doesn’t have any special powers that we know of. I don’t think it’s because he’s deficient at all, I think it just simply doesn’t interest him. Beyond yelling “BAT!”, and making the most of that infinite libido, does he truly revel in vampirism?

So yeah… I think he’s found the cure and doesn’t know where to go next. I think he feels tempted to take it, and it’s fracturing his identity.

We will see if I’m wrong next week.

My partner recently went to college. Technically it's now a LDR despite it being a 3 hour (give or take) drive instead of a 10 minute one. With our resources, the distance is much further than it looks. I feel like my activity may increase now that my partner will be more busy with life.

Though I haven't talked about it, I am still struggling to find a job. In the meantime I'll always have commissions open. If you're interested, I highly encourage you to DM me. One time when I was younger I was refusing to take headache medicine and my mom said “the person who invented that medicine is probably so sad you won’t let them help you” and now every time I find myself denying medicine I just imagine the saddest scientist making those big wet eyes like “why won’t you let me help” and whoop then I take the medicine

As long as you are taking a SAFE dose of it, then it's *good* for you. Pain is bad for the body. The inflammation from prolonged pain can worsen chronic issues and make it harder to heal.

Ibuprofen is best for pain that has inflammation, while acetaminophen doesn't help with inflammation but is more broadly effective on other types of pain. As long as you are taking the recommended dose, you can even take them TOGETHER, since they have different mechanisms of action.

You do need to be aware of how much and how often you are taking any pain medication. Overdoses can be very painful (even lethal.) And if you are in chronic pain often enough that you need more than the safe dose, then you need to look into other medications to manage that pain.

(Also, if you are specifically taking Acetaminophen/Tylenol for your go-to pain management, getting some NAC and taking that with it reduces the risk of overdose AND may strengthen the effect.)

One other thing: NSAIDS (ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen being the three big ones) can cause digestive issues with chronic use, including stomach ulcers. That doesn't mean "don't take them," it means "if you're at the point where you're on them all the time, every day, constantly, you should talk to a doctor about either reducing that risk or switching to another medication that doesn't have those side effects."
