He then T-posed in anticipation. He was being very lenient today! Trust me, this in an improvement. If you hug gentle enough, he may even hug you back.

I'm bored and curious. Can you tell me a random fact you know?

"Ooh! Did you know that, uh...hypothetically, if the, um...multiverse theory is in fact true, ANY imaginable scenario (that adheres to known laws of physics in real life) can and will happen an infinite number of times? It's true. I...often take comfort in this idea, knowing there's a universe where even I can find true happiness an infinite number of times. When I feel down, more or less, it cheers me right up. Try it some time, won't you?"

*It honks in response and grabs a nearby abandoned picnic basket. *(Honk honk, honk!) *It seems to be concocting a plan as it drags the basket over to a red picnic blanket on the ground.

Confused, he crossed his arms and tapped his foot with a confused murmur. Surely, the bird was only doing this by coincidence. Right? Geese didn't have picnics...right?? Maybe I should get into waterfowl psychology. Is that even a thing!? he disgruntledly thought to himself. He watched closely ad the goose appeared to be preparing a picnic. Perhaps he could help?

He didn't know what geese ate, but he did see an apple tree with sour green apples that were ripe and ready to eat. He eyed one of the glossy green fruits, isolating the one with the least imperfections as he jumped up to snatch it from the tree in a rustle of leaves. He wiped the apple off with his sleeve and tilted it around, watching the sunlight glint off of it. He smiled in satisfaction.

*(Honk!) *A white goose with little orange feet and an orange beak pops up and out of the greenery. It looks at you curiously and honks more, fully emerging from the bushes. *(Honk honk!)

The skeleton coughed in surprise and staggered back a moment, eyeing the funny bird skeptically. He glanced at the white feathers of the goose and then down at his lab coat almost identically white. He snorted,

"Well one of us is going to have to change."

(He's getting the hang of jokes. Slowly.)

That was a quick answer. It was almost as if he had his entire future planned out already.

The boy held his breath, eyes narrowing at the shrubs. Selecting "yes," he drew closer, but not dangerously close. He crouched and strained to listen, in hopes of identifying the source of the sound. He looked a bit scared.

*I chuckle softly.* No, there aren't any flying cars yet; just humans dumb enough to toast their hands to scientifically test if they're a piece of bread, humans dumb enough to drink bleach to scientifically test if they're a washing machine, a dude who was dumb enough to die via leaping out of an air vehicle to "prove that fall damage was a lie spread by the government," a dying planet thanks to humans, and humans being stupid in general. I hope monsterkind won't have to endure all that...

He...was concerned on many levels. Not only were the acts horrendous, but...WHAT WAS A TOASTER!?

In space? Well, it's completely black, like the sky, but you can see lots of start and sometimes planets. There's no air or sound up there, and it's really cold and without gravity. We've actually managed to get to the moon a few times! It doesn't have as much gravity as Earth, but there is still gravity there. *I smile gently.*

He soaked up every last bit of information without interrupting. Oh, how he wished he lived in the future. He bet there were flying carts to take people in and out of town.

"Thank you for telling me this. I hope I can live to see it one day..." Skeletons lived a very long time. There was record of one who lived over a thousand years. Perhaps everything would turn out well for him?

I decided to try and make him look younger (it’s a horror dating sim in a high school setting after all). I don’t know if it worked, but I tried |D

Well, there aren't as many as there are now, but there are monsters there. There's technology to communicate easier, travel quicker, and preform tasks more efficiently. A lot of the world uses science, but the status quo is still in place so people are still trying to appeal to the social status. Flight is absolutely possible now! Flying is a common form of travel, and we've even gone to space. I can't say too much about your future, but you pretty much became a living legend. *I smile softly.*

He listened intently with wide eyes, his mind whirling as he processed everything. All this was possible? By what means? Who discovered it? Invented it? Was it him? He began to slowly nod at the concept of space travel, "I...i always dreamt...but I-I never knew..."

He covered his mouth with a hand, at a loss for words as he stared at the ground. He quickly looked up and stepped in closer, squeezing his books tighter, "Wait, wait- what does it look like up there?"

He nodded in nervous anticipation, knitting his fingers together as he straightened up, waiting patiently. "Alright..."

Could it be possible he was making too big a deal out of this? (Like most things?)

"Well..." He paused, "I suppose a hug would be nice. Just one. Please be gentle."

He handed you a 'hug pass' that reads: "Good for One Gentle Hug from a skeleton that is bad at hugs." Treasure it.

Ah Wingdings! The Irish life must be so calming. What's a favorite pastime of yours there?

“Oh! I spend most my time napping. Without school, it’s not like I…really gave anywhere to be. I don’t have as many interesting books as i’d like- well, by that I mean, ones I haven’t already read through. There isn’t a bookstore in town anymore, it shut down recently. I remember the clerk…he knew me, but he didn’t talk much to me. It was fine, I was more interested in getting my books quickly.”

“Let’s see, napping…casual philosophy…and daydreaming, when nothing else. I daydream about flying, erm…even though It’s really rather silly, I know.” He averted eye contact, pushing his glasses up as they slid slightly down the bridge of his nose. “I can’t be the only one, right?”

“It was pleasant, but I never read books inside of it, actually. instead, I’d read outside the school. But now, I just read at home. I was asked to leave quite frequently by humans that would go inside because I made them uncomfortable.” He hesitated, “but yes, I do love birds. I’d love to be up in the air one day with them. I’m not sure how, though...but I think it’s possible. Maybe. Their feathers are so beautiful, especially raven feathers. Not enough people realize how pretty they are.”
