Hey, just in case it resonates with some people, I have something that is called Performance Anxiety (and no it’s not related to bed stuff), which means my self-worth is related to what I make, and in this specific case, create as an artist. For some people it’s school grades, here it’s “Have I worked enough on this project?” doubled with “I should be a better human being by working out more, eating better, cleaning more, socialising more, etc.”
Like any other sort of anxiety, it deforms reality. It has to be seen and managed. But once you know you have it, it goes from “I’m not doing enough” to “My anxiety says I’m not doing enough.”
