Back off from my girl. My girl.
The words echo in her mind for a few moments before a grin settles on her face, and she shakes her head. âYour girl, huh? Well damn, someoneâs moving a little fast, no?â Its joking, the way she says it, distracting from the way her pulse is racing, her heartbeat pounding in her ears. âYou havenât even taken me on a date yet, Johnson.âÂ
He can almost see the internal reaction the other was having to his words and he cursed himself, wishing he could go back in time and take back what heâd said, but he knew heâd have to continue with it now the other had taken it in. âMaybe I am moving fast, but do you really mind?â He asks carefully, raising a brow at the other, taking her hand in his own. âShall we change that?â
âWell clearly its not working because youâre still here.â Britani says with an amused grin. âWell I mean thereâs not really much one can do about having their throne stolen, but I guess Iâd have to go all Khaleesi on âem.â
âYeah, because Iâm not threatened by you. Youâre just a little girl trying to play with the big boys.â He speaks without care, shrugging slightly. âAnd you, Khaleesi? I donât think so. Youâre maybe Joffrey, maybe. At a push.â
âThe kind that were heartthrobs in high school and college and let it go to their heads, so now they just expect women to come flocking when they throw a wink and drop a half-assed line.â Calvin says with a shrug, cringing a little at his honesty and over-analysis.Â
âNo, thatâs not true at all. And you obviously think theyâre half assed lines, Iâm not gonna waste my good shit on another dude, thereâs no point.â He cant help but snap his response, narrowing his eyes at the other, not appreciating what was being insinuated.
At Andyâs question, Reyna can feel the anger rising up through her body, part of her wondering how she ever dated someone so stupid, her hand clenching into a fist at her side.
âNo, Andy, I slept with you so Iâm pretty sure Iâm not gay, have you heard of bisexuals?â Her words drip anger and sarcasm, her eyes narrowed at the other, waiting for whatever idiotic response the male was going to throw back.
Andy rolls his eyes as the blonde explains herself as though sheâs talking to a child, and he watches carefully as the blonde clenches a fist at her side, taking a slight, involuntary, step back, as though afraid of the other.
âBisexual? I thought that was just a new way of saying slut who canât choose?â
âYeah, no thanks pal.â Britani says, crinkling her nose at the proposition. âBesides, when I do, on the odd occasion, go for a member of the male species, I like them to know what theyâre doing in the bedroom, and something tells me you wouldnât make the cut.â She says, her voice and smile both sickeningly sweet. âAbdicate the throne? You must be joking, like Iâd give that up.â
âWow, youâre so... Rude. Youâre so desperate to get rid of me youâll insult my manhood? Thatâs hurtful, Queeniekins. Hurtful.â His words are joking as he feigns hurt, dramatically placing a hand over his heart, though deep down a part of him does actually feel insulted that the other didnât believe he was good in bed. âWhat if someone stole your throne, what then?â
God youâre so beautiful in real life.
She can feel the nervous giggle rising at the words, barely managing to keep it at bay as she glances away from Andy, her nerves getting the better of her for the moment as she comes to terms with the fact that he was real, that he was there, that he was hers. âYou know, Iâve heard that, actually.â She speaks with a laugh, finally deciding on what to do, stepping forward and placing her lips on Andyâs, not caring if it was too soon.
He canât help but go completely still as lips find his own, before he realises whatâs happening and responding in kind, before pulling away, smiling at the other. âWell whoever said that needs to back off from my girl.â The words slip out accidentally, and he regrets them immediately, but doesnât let it show, knowing it was too late to take them back, instead waiting for the other to respond.
#so here for this
Reyna rolls her eyes as Andy drops his gaze and sighs, already wishing the conversation was over. âYouâre right, Andy. I donât have it in me to make you watch me and my new boyfriend. But I will make you watch me and my new girlfriend.â Her words are punctuated with a saccharine sweet smile, as se folds her arms across her chest, just waiting for a response.
Youâre right Andy.Â
Thereâs a part of him, a small part, but a part nonetheless, that feels a slight excitement at the words, those being the words he never heard the other say, not a single time during their relationship, though any good feeling he had fizzles out at the next words the blonde speaks.
My new girlfriend.
âGirlfriend, what, are you a gay now?â
âRiiight.â Max says slowly, eyeing him sceptically. âWell, have fun on your accidental journey into being a good samaritan, I guess. Hope you find whoeverâs phone that isâ
FIN.
âConsidering weâre here to meet our significant others, no.â Britani drawls, rolling her eyes. âBesides, historically, queens have been far more successful and better off without kings, so⊠make that a double no.â She says with a wicked grin.
âWell if it doesnât work out for either of those, Iâll gladly step in for you.â He knows he needs to stop before he goes too far, but he also knows itâs too fun an opportunity to pass up. âWell, I mean, you could always abdicate the throne, and then maybe it could work.â
She feels her anger rise as the other judges her searching skills, and she glares at the other, about to snap a response back, only for it to die on her lips as the male speaks again, speaks her name.
âAndy?â She speaks carefully, trying, and ultimately failing to fight the smile creeping across her face as she looks at the other.
He freezes as the other shoots him a glare, for once deciding not to speak, even to defend what heâd said, knowing it wouldnât help the situation at hand.Â
He canât help but smile in response to the one spreading across the girls lips, the action almost infectious, though that could just be the excitement he felt talking. âThe one and only. God, youâre so beautiful in real life.â
âAh, so youâre one of those guys.â
âOne of which guys, exactly?â
Britani grins wickedly. âWell, I think you answered your own question there, pal. You should definitely keep calling me âyour highnessâ.â
âSo youâre the queen now, huh? Can I be your king?â Its joking, mostly, and Andy canât help but throw in a wink too, not really caring about the consequences.
âOh, gee, Andy, what do you think I could possibly be doing here, in a place, where we meet our online partners, hmm?â Her words are sarcastic as she stares down her ex, wondering if somehow he had become more stupid since their last interaction.
He lets out a sigh as Reyna snaps at him, her words equal parts sarcastic and venomous, his gaze momentarily meeting the floor before he looks back at her.Â
âYouâre gonna make me watch you with your new boyfriend? Jeez, Rey, I didnât think you had that in you.â

Her head snaps up at the sound of a voice, her eyes looking at them, before darting to the object in their hands. âOh my god where did you find this? Iâve been looking for it for hours!â
"Hours? Really? It was literally in the middle of the hall round the corner. You can't have been searching well enough." There's disbelief in his words as he passes over the device, not even looking at the other.
"Shit, Frankie?"
