THEIR STORY

Growing up, Andy felt as if his mother kept over looking him for his siblings. Maybe it was because he looked the most like his estranged father? At least that was the only explanation that he could come up with. But the thing for him, he tried to be nothing like his father. He would help his mother whenever he could, no matter how she felt about him.

For as long as he could remember, he poured himself into sports. Baseball, football, and karate, being the main ones. It was one way to keep him out of the house and keep him busy. He usually kept to himself. Even if he was well known as an All-Star athlete, he didn’t have too many friends. The friends that he did have though, he was close to them, and spent many of nights over at their houses, wanting to stay away from his when it got too bad.

Graduating near the top of his class, he received a baseball and football scholarship to University of Pennsylvania. Ever since he was young, he wanted to be a teacher. Majoring in education and a minor in history, Andy knew that he wanted to be a history teacher. He wanted to make history interesting for kids, even though it can be repetitive and boring. Andy wanted to make it enjoyable and fun to learn. Unfortunately, he just didn’t know what grade that the wanted to teach.

Once he graduated, Andy struggled to find a job, especially close to home. It took a year or so until he found one. Until he could find a teaching job, he decided to get a job as a personal trainer at Pump It Up Fitness, wanting to help people learn how to lift weights properly. It was when he got the call for a teaching position as a 4th grade teacher.

He’s been teaching for almost five years now, and he loves his job. Andy recently got a house after saving up, working on fixing it up to update his house to his liking. When he’s not working on his house, he’s either at the gym doing his second job, or coaching pee wee football or t-ball and little league.

If anyone would want to find him, they could find him anywhere at the school, like the field, at the gym, or at his house with his pets.

Okay, is it just me or have the past two months just gone by crazy fast? I know time feeling like it's going by faster and faster is normal or whatever as you settle into boring routine adult life, but, uh, I absolutely hate it. Anybody have some tips for stretching out time as much as possible before I turn thirty in a couple years and am forced to accept that I actually am getting old? Send help.

It’s not just you, and you’re not going crazy. The way I see it is when you’re a kid, you feel like summer lasts forever. When you get older though, it’s like time just flies by. I have no advice on this though. Wish I could help you out.

Andy: well, i’m not exactly opposed to that. i enjoy listening to people talk. if you want to talk about twilight, we’ll talk about twilight. i might have to rewatch the movies to remember what happens. 😂 wasn’t the second one like the slow one? i know more of jacob was introduced though Andy: i know my legs won’t be massive though. i won’t let them get too massive. i think that just looks weird. i’d be down to watch disney on ice with you. it’d be a first. ohhhh. yeah, i have no clue who that is lol. well, we can always just do spaghetti. we could always just have dinner somewhere and then go star gazing if you’d like. i’m big on communication. i’d rather get into a fight and work it out than get into a fight and just let it simmer out. let’s work it out and make sure we understand each other in our relationship

Charlie: i get that! old people totes tend to gossip like that. i don't usually pay attention to them, because they usually repeat the same old piece of information like it's some new scandal 🙄 but things like that is a little hypocritical of the same people that preach things like "those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" or whatever the saying is. like everyone has history, it's not really fair to hold it against people that have nothing to do with some of it. but okay! we should really move away from this because we're great and amazing, and people who have nothing better to do than be ugly like that aren't worth our time. oh, okay then! i didn't want to like totally monopolize your time or anything, but i will absolutely keep that in mind 🤗 Charlie: oh yes, you can't forget leg day! that's like the number one rule lol omg yes, i loved watching them! it was like disney on ice but better tbh. and omg, i wouldn't dream of judging anyone on the ice! it's hard and takes time to really get comfortable, i don't expect you to be evgeni plushenko the first time out there! but don't worry, i also won't let you fall, how's that? lol yeah they have apps that like are supposed to show you what constellations are visible from your location but they aren't that great. i really don't have any preferences there! what kind of food do you like?

Don’t you just love ending a shift on the best note? I made food for the whole firehouse, nothing too fancy honestly, just a Shepard’s pie I had thrown together during some downtime, but anyway. The guys were telling me I should post my recipes online, start a food blog and you know what? That’s starting to sound like a pretty good idea. I don’t wanna make a bunch of food just to take pictures and post online though, so if anyone feels up to taste testing I’m taking volunteers to test the final product before actually publishing the recipe. Also taking volunteers to show me how to actually do a foodie blog… writing isn’t exactly my strong suit.

Ending a shift on a good note, it always the best thing ever! Honestly, shepard’s pie sounds phenominal. You got me hungry over here now. So you’re going to be starting a food blog? Hell yeah, dude! Now, I’m a foodie, so I could volunteer as tribute to taste all of the final products. I’m glad that you’re finally doing it though. Share it with the world!

So it wasn’t just me that got so lost with the time jumps. The number of times I had to rewind and make sure I actually followed everything is embarrassing, actually. But I get that, it was hard to follow if you weren’t like paying every bit of attention to it. The last season got me so bad with those jumps. I guess it’s a way to build up the suspense? I know I had more than one thing wrong based on their jumping around, so that could have been the entire point, keep us guessing what was actually happening.

No, it wasn’t just you. After every episode, I would like think through what had happened and just make sure everything was making sense for my brain. I don’t think it was embarrassing. Clever, maybe. Like you said, it was a way to keep people guessing and on their toes. It was like they made sure that you knew that you needed to pay attention or you’d miss some details.

The thing that gets me the most was they intentionally misled me with the time skips in the last season. Kept teasing the funeral scene – wow, look at me about to spoil things for people who might not have gotten to the end. But let’s just say I wasn’t expecting the funeral to be like that. I thought it was much more dramatic. But I can deal with that, the thing I can’t deal with is when shows are all over the place trying to be mysterious and failing. I tried watching Manifest since I finished HTGAWM and… I just can’t do it. It’s like they’re trying to do that whole suspense thing too but failing miserably.

The funeral though. Oh my. I was just..in awe. Like I was just as surprised as I was confused. No jokes on that one. Shows that are just all over the place are how you get cancelled. Especially if they have bad writing. I actually preferred Manifest over HTGAWM. Granted, I love both shows, but I loved the plot of Manifest more, I guess.
