If y’all fucking read more than the hot take think pieces, you’d realize that many of these posts are a bunch of bullshit designed to break apart useful alliances. I’m going to post corrections here, but y’all can fucking google them or just believe me like you do the rest of the bullshit on this godsforsaken site.

So point one: yes, Biden doesn’t want to ban fracking on private land. He wants to make it so unprofitable that it’s not possible to undue. A ban is super easy to get rid of if republicans get back into office. You know, like how we left the Paris agreement and lost protections of the ACA and the voting rights act?

Point two: Biden may have said that, idk and idc. He has promised to end the program giving military equipment to police, and I believe promised to reduce/remove federal funding for police. Given that police are a state issue and he literally *cannot* stop your town or state from having police, that’s not actually a *bad* set of policies to have since, let me repeat this: he has NO authority over your local police as president of the United States. He just doesn’t, it’s a right specifically reserved for the states. Argue with him about the FBI and CIA sure, but Biden can’t get rid of the NYPD no matter how he feels about cops. Also, cops are *popular* and he could not have won if he falsely promised to end policing in the US, since he can’t do that and a lot of the votes he needed wouldn’t like that

Three, he’s right. His tax plan won’t change their standard of living because he’s taxing money beyond what they need. This “quote” is missing a hell of a lot of context.

Please, for the love of other people in your life, don’t parrot back bullshit designed to make you feel hopeless, because a lot of it is wrong. Read the actual policies people have, and remember a few big things:

Not all the politicians you elect have authority over your pet issue and;

Politics are about compromise and;

You cannot suddenly make a huge move left or right because you will lose part of your movement since people on the whole do not like major changes

"affordable" should mean "affordable for all" which means it must be free. Take this into account when discussing "affordable" healthcare, higher education, etc. Affordable MUST be free, or else it is not affordable for all

I think this is incorrect. “Affordable” can also mean “everyone has enough money to pay for X without difficulty.” That is a better definition because it does not try to pretend that money, which is a useful concept/invention in human history, shouldn’t exist. It also points to better solutions for people not able to afford X: give them money.
