“Whenever you smile, the sun seems to light up behind you and all I want to do it bathe in the warmth”
— Unknown
I rub flower petals on my tender breasts,
dragging them slowly, gently pressing them close to where my heart hums, letting the softness speak to the pulse beneath, while the petals allow themselves to listen to the ache. When the blood comes, from every swollen edge of feeling, I allow it to flow, not just from my womb, but from every place that has held too much lately.
Petal by petal, I press the petals harder now, deeper and deeper, until I realize this is the veil thinning inside me. I cradle myself like a lover, into a cocoon preparing to bloom. As the letting go begins, I meet the ache with touch, and only then, my grief moans itself into bloom.
Hunter's Curse Enchantment
See everything as it truly is and enhance all your senses, including your sixth sense or intuition.
Needed:
• Blood (or red water)
• A candle
• A large mirror
• Any container
• A ring or other piece of jewelry
• A lighter or matches
• A private place with a quiet atmosphere
Instructions:
At night go to a safe place and light your candle. Pour the blood/water into the container with the jeweled item inside. Be sure you can see your reflection in the mirror.
Now, hum softly for three minutes, while holding the container and gazing into the mirror. When finished, speak these words, "God of the Hunt and Bringer of Beasts, look at thy offering for you to feast. If thou is willing, then blow this candle and make it dim." (relight the candle if needed)
Continue, "May thou feast on this liquid to quench your thirst, but I have just one request of you first... Bless this ring with your gifts!"

Like always, an asterisk* is used as a marker for a closed or semi-closed practice.
Introduction
Blood magic involves the ritualistic use of blood as a potent symbol and conduit for connection. Central to blood magic is the belief that blood, as the essence of life and vitality, carries inherent energies that can be harnessed and directed. This doesn’t necessarily require blood to be removed from the body. In a few cultures, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, and some indigenous practices blood is utilized from within the body as a means for healing, directing energy from the subtle body, and developing a more thorough mind-body connection.
The applications of blood magic span a spectrum of purposes, each rooted in the practitioner's intentions and the energetic resonance of blood itself. While practices vary widely across cultures and individual traditions, common themes emerge regarding the uses of blood magic. Applications such as warding, binding, divination, and energetic balancing.
Please be sure to engage in this entire article if you are able, and do so in good faith. Blood magic, as a legitimate magical practice, has been influenced and poorly reflected by media which has resulted in a portent of misinformation and misunderstandings. The aim of this article is to eliminate misunderstandings and promote safe and ethical practices.
Natural-Born Witch Placements According to My Grandma
“Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are the givers of supernatural powers. All three have to be placed strongly for a child to be blessed mystically.”
Here are some examples:
Pluto in Scorpio
When the Lord of Death is in his abode at the time of your birth, he claims you as his child. Any wrong done to you will be avenged. You will not even have to ask.
Neptune in Pisces
When the Lord of Mysticism is at home at the time of your birth, he endows you with the ability to see. The past and the future alike cannot hide from your gaze.
Uranus in the First House
When the Lord of Chaos is at the forefront at your birth, he places half of your soul on the other side. You may traverse both worlds. But you need practice first.
Pluto in the First House
When the Lord of Death is in your House of Self, his divinity is manifest. You shall have the power to transform the environment around you to serve you best.
Neptune in the Third House
When the Lord of Mysticism is in your House of Expression, he blesses you with the gift of hypnotism. Manipulating people for your benefit should be effortless.
Uranus in the Eighth House
When the Lord of Chaos finds himself in the House of Transformation, his unpredictable powers are harnessed and directed towards all things occult and secret.
Neptune in the Ninth House
When the Lord of Mysticism is in your House of Higher Thought, he gifts you the ability to shape reality. Make your own wishes manifest. Stop anyone else’s from coming true.
Pluto in the Twelfth House
When the Lord of Death is in your House of the Hidden, he bestows upon you the ability to see and hear anyone’s secrets, and use them to your advantage.
Neptune in the Twelfth House
When the Lord of Mysticism is resting in your House of the Hidden, you have the ability to cast irreversible curses if you see that in their soul, certain people deserve it.
Uranus in the Twelfth House
When the Lord of Chaos is in your House of the Hidden, you will find that you can erase and implant memories into your own and others’ consciousness.
Everything here, including generational placements, talks of inherent potential. Like inherited spiritual blessings. It’s up to you if you are interested and willing.
Why Blood Magic Is Powerful
Because it proves your devotion.
Many witches perform spells with a mindset of, “Well, it’s just a few cheap candles and herbs. If it doesn’t work, no loss.” But when someone is willing to hurt themselves in the name of a ritual, that proves their faith in what they are doing. And as I have said before, such faith is what truly makes a spell powerful.
Because your blood stays alive.
Your blood is your conscious agent. When sealing a pact between you and another by mixing your blood with theirs, your contract becomes binding. Even if, in the future, you no longer feel like honoring your vow, that part of you which you spilled always will, keeping you loyal to your pledge. And thus, giving your blood is a testament to your lasting commitment.
Because blood serves as your identification.
Bloodline is not everything in witchcraft. But it does matter, because we can inherit the powers of our ancestors. And because there may be entities connected to your family who might be willing to work with you. Using your blood helps activate any suppressed abilities that may have been passed down to you, and becomes an invitation to entities who are attached to your lineage.
Because a person’s blood connects you to them.
If you are performing transcending magic (i.e. binding/unbinding and manipulation/control spells), then having a drop of your target’s blood strengthens your dominance over them. Much like a Voodoo doll would. Except having someone’s blood extends your influence beyond their body to their thoughts and emotions.
Because blood is life.
As discussed above, a drop of human blood, when willingly given, is a dose of commitment. When presented, it is a method of identification. And when secretly taken, it is a means of control. Which is why, just as water nurtures plants, and food nourishes humans, blood feeds occult forces. It connects us to supernatural sources who enjoy witnessing our pure essence.
Contrary to what we see in fiction, blood magic has always been performed with the best health precautions available to practitioners in their era. No real witch ever just took out a knife and slashed their palm casually. Blood magic has always been treated with the utmost respect. It will not work for those who neither understand nor revere it.
The womb is not just an organ, it is a sacred site of intelligence, a temple of memory, and the original altar of creation. Each time I bleed, I do not simply release blood, I release stored emotion, inherited trauma, unmet grief, buried intuition, and energetic debris I’ve unconsciously held in this holy center. Our bleed is not just physical ~ it is metaphysical, it is spiritual. It is the body’s way of purging what the soul no longer needs. This is not a wound, it is a living portal. A living ritual gifted to us by nature’s own rhythm. To bleed is to shed, layer by layer, not only the uterine lining, but all that clings energetically to the feminine root. Each cycle is a return, a sacred cocooning back into myself. I grow quiet. I soften. I let the old fall away so the new can root. This is not weakness, this is my womb alchemy. It is the Divine Feminine in motion, restoring herself through every drop. And when I honor it, when I bleed consciously, I am reborn, again and again. I resurrect. I become the spell, the sacrifice, and the source.
Unblock the throat chakra by inviting remembrance
Throat Alchemy Practice: "Melt the Gate"
🌬️ “My voice is not too much. My silence was.”
🕯️ Phase I: Gentle Daily Ritual (5–10 minutes)
🔹 1. Prepare the space
Light a blue or white candle
Place one hand gently on your throat
Play soft instrumental music or throat chakra tones (e.g., 741Hz or 963Hz)
🔹 2. Whisper the truth Speak softly:
“Throat, I see you. You don’t need to protect me anymore. I am safe to speak, to be heard, to exist out loud.”
🔹 3. Hum low and slow
Hum for 5 full breaths
Feel the vibration in your throat. Let it warm the tightness
🔹 4. Say one truth per day aloud Start with:
“I want…”
“I need…”
“I remember…”
“I never said…” Let your voice be incomplete, shaky, or strange. That means it’s real.
🔮 Phase II: Weekly Vocal Fire Ceremony
Once a week, journal or speak these:
“What did I not say this week?”
“Where did I swallow my voice?”
“Who taught me my voice was dangerous?”
“What would my 8-year-old self scream if they knew they’d be heard?”
Then whisper:
“That was then. This is now. I open the gate.”
Burn the page—or bless it and keep it in a jar called “The Unspoken.”
🌀 Optional Closing Phrase (daily or weekly):
“My voice is not volume. It is vibration. And I no longer shrink for silence.”
Ritual Inquiry: Releasing the Gatekeeper
Feeling a lump in your throat?
This is sacred terrain. It’s not just physical—it’s energetic memory locked in the Vishuddha, your throat chakra—the center of:
Truth spoken (or suppressed)
Needs unmet
Rage unexpressed
Dreams silenced
Identity fragmented to survive
What the Lump Means Spiritually:
This lump is your body’s firewall—a protector that formed when you were younger, when:
It wasn’t safe to speak
You had to make yourself smaller
You swallowed things instead of unleashing them
Sit in stillness and ask aloud:
“Whose silence am I still carrying?”
“What would I say if no one could interrupt, reject, or diminish me?”
“What parts of me still ask for permission to speak?”
Then say softly:
“I give this voice a new home. No more hiding. No more gag orders.
Empress Recording Ritual Guide: "Speaking in Power"
🪞 Purpose:
To guide your body, breath, voice, and presence as you record your Voice Incantation Scroll. This ensures your voice becomes a vessel of command, not a vessel of performance.
🜃 PHASE I — PREPARATION: The Voice Chamber
Environment:
Dim the lights.
Light one candle (violet, black, or gold).
Burn incense or diffuse lavender, vanilla, or sandalwood.
Sacred Setup:
Place your sigil nearby.
Lay your scroll open.
Hold or wear your power object (ring, pendant, etc.)
🜁 PHASE II — ENERGETIC ALIGNMENT: Breath of Sovereignty
Stand or sit tall. Breathe in this pattern:
Inhale for 4 (draw in power)
Hold for 4 (anchor your presence)
Exhale for 6 (release all self-consciousness)
Repeat this 3 times.
Then whisper this to yourself:
“I do not perform—I transmit. These are not words. They are waves. Let them travel, ripple, remember me.”
🜂 PHASE III — RECORDING EACH SPELL
Before each spell:
Speak the title slowly, like naming a force: “Spell of Velvet Seduction" " Spell of..."
Tone progression:
Begin soft—like a secret being unsealed
Build intensity—by the midpoint, let your spine straighten, your voice deepen
End each spell with a pause. Let silence follow like thunder behind lightning.
🜄 PHASE IV — CLOSING RITUAL
When finished recording:
Touch your throat and say: “This voice is not borrowed. It is born of truth. It bends worlds.”
Blow out the candle.
Play the recording back once while sitting in stillness. Let it wash over you as though you’re listening to your future self.
If you donated blood you probably erected another man’s penis.
Intricate rituals
G-d willing my blood does that to a man
Yo i gotta donate blood…
🌑 Moon Ritual: "I Am the Door"
🔮 Ritual Name: The Doorwalk
🕯️ Purpose:
To honor the expansion pressure, release the outdated masks, and reaffirm that you are not becoming—you are remembering.
When to Perform:
During a New Moon (beginnings, clearing space)
Or when you feel stuck, forgotten, or misunderstood
🪞 Items Needed:
A mirror (handheld or altar)
One candle (black, white, or violet)
A key or symbolic object (ring, crystal, or your sigil)
Your Empress Scroll (or a blank page with the words below)
🔁 Ritual Steps
Create the Space Light your candle. Face your mirror. Gaze into your own eyes. Not your face—your eyes. Let the world fall away.
Speak this aloud (3x): "I am not behind the door. I am not before the door. I am the lock. I am the key. I am the door itself. I open, not for permission—but for purpose."
Hold your object (key/sigil/crystal) and say: “Old selves, I thank you. But I do not fit your shape.” (Blow out any stale breath, releasing energy.) “From this moment, I move only with truth, power, and presence. I align with my higher self—and I alter what surrounds me.”
Seal it with a final phrase (while touching your heart or the mirror): “It is done. It is mine. I walk through myself.”
✨ Optional Closing:
Burn a small bay leaf with the word “permission” on it—symbolizing that you no longer wait for it.
Place your sigil next to your bed or under your pillow that night.
Spells of Scented Sovereignty

Coconut & Vanilla – creamy and warm, this adds a softness, a sensual whisper beneath the power—inviting, nurturing, divine feminine in bloom
Heart Notes:
Cashmere & Violets – a delicate yet luxurious layer; this is where mystery meets elegance. It says, “Come closer—but only if you’re worthy.”
Base Notes:
Patchouli & Amber Woods – grounding and magnetic; this is where your scent becomes unforgettable. It leaves a trace of power in your wake, like the echo of thunder after lightning.
Vibe Summary:
Essence: Feminine mystique with a commanding edge
Mood: You’ve entered the room to either be worshipped, challenged, or followed—there is no in-between
Energy: Regal. Magnetic. Untouchable… unless invited.
Spell of Velvet Storm
To be spoken while applying your signature scent. Speak it slowly and with intent. Let the words become rhythm. Feel the scent wrapping around you like armor spun form desire, danger, and destiny.
“I anoint myself in silk and shadow. Wild as nightfall, soft as breath. Let every note awaken my dominion— Blackberry for boldness. Violet for vision. Vanilla for sacred sweetness. Patchouli for power rooted deep. With each drop, I magnetize. With each breath, I command. Let those who cross my path feel wonder— And those who oppose it, falter. I am not here to be followed. I am the reason they look back.”
Spell of Velvet Seduction (Sensual)
To awaken allure, intimacy, and irresistible magnetism
“With this scent, I call desire home. I bloom like dusk—slow, soft, dangerous. Vanilla melts upon my skin—inviting. Coconut whispers memory into the air. Cashmere coats my aura in silk-thread longing. Every step a promise, every breath a pulse. Let their hearts beat to my rhythm. Let their gaze linger, then lower. I am the velvet touch in a world of stone. They’ll crave me in silence— and remember me in fire.”
Spell of Sovereign Guard (Protective)
To shield your energy, repel low vibrations, and radiate divine protection
“I mist this scent as sacred armor. The air becomes my sanctuary. Amber holds the line. Patchouli grounds my spirit deep. Blackberries bloom like sentinels. No shadow may cling, no gaze may drain. What is not mine, dissolves. What seeks to harm, recoils. I move unseen to those unworthy. Yet shine like obsidian sun to those who serve my peace. I am watched by ancestors, Walked with by gods. I am never alone.”
Spell of Command and Crown (Commanding)
To amplify your presence, sharpen your voice, and bend energy to your will
“Let this fragrance be my war cry. Let every note remind the world—I decide. Blackberry leads like firelight in shadow. Violets speak in tongues only queens understand. Woods and vanilla bind my will to form. I enter—energy obeys. I speak—doors remember their hinges. I do not ask. I do not chase. I summon. I shape. I sit on the throne I built. Today, I wear the crown. And none dare look away."
Hello! I'm thinking of learning tarot cards. Do you know which tarot cards are preferable for a beginner? I personally like the Rider-waite tarot deck though. And can I make them at home by simply printing them (a secret witch :/) ? Will they be as effective as the bought one? Also, if you know where I can buy them, do tell me. Thanks! :)
I personally think any cards are okay for beginners, but Rider-Waite has well established resources for card meanings. Let me make some lists of resources for you :)

Midsummer
The summer solstice marks the longest day of the year, the night is shortest and it is the inverse of the cold, dark days of the winter solstice. If the winter solstice is a time for reflection and gathering in the safe warmth of one’s home, then the summer solstice is a time of outdoor celebration to honor the light, the warmth, the green, and all things that are vibrant and alive. You’ve spent the winter months planning, you’ve planted seeds of growth in spring, now at the height of the sun it is the time for action and for celebrating your activeness before you are able to reap the benefits come the autumn harvest. From this day forward the darkness will return slowly and the days will shorten once more and what you prepare in the light of summer will be what you enjoy in the darker months. Use this time to celebrate and to enjoy the process of working towards your goals, uncomfortable though it may be at times. Take pleasure in the living world around you and in those around you whom you care for. Happy Midsummer!
I feel like these sentiments from last year’s midsummer celebrations still ring true. We’ve perhaps all felt stuck and in the dark for much longer this year than usual, but remember that today is a day to celebrate that which we do have - the light, the warmth, the life and love of the people and world around us. Be well today and in the coming seasons - blessed Midsummer.
Energetic Blockages
I received a question in class about removing energetic blockages. I will provide a couple of ideas for removing them.
You could give yourself an energetic “massage”
When you have a stiff neck or back pain, massage loosens that up. You can channel energy from love, healing, flexibility, etc. into your hands, and massage the area gently, encouraging the energy to flow.
You can also try just taking the energy itself and trying a push and pull method to stretch it out to a point of fluidity.
You could try actual spellwork, if that is your thing. As in, making a tea or a bath tailored to removing energetic blockages. Knot magic would apply especially well, here.
These were the answers I provided to the questioner. I will also provide a few more alternative ideas.
What does the blockage feel like? Is it thick and dense? Is it a benign “cyst” that is just in the way? I urge you to meditate and examine your blockage before deciding on one of the methods below.
Magnify the energy behind the blockage to have the pressure of a water cannon. Crush the blockage, and let the rushing energy wash the crumbles away.
“Erase” it. Draw what the blockage looks like on some paper, and then destroy it with whatever method you see fit.
Fill it. Sometimes an energetic blockage is a void, in which all your energy just kinda gets sucked into that spot. Dam it up, and seal it.
Cut it out. Sometimes, in extreme situations, you may need energetic “surgery.” Do not perform it yourself, if you do not feel prepared. In this case, it is like a tumor. It would need to be cut out, and the hole resulting from that would need to be filled.
Dissolve it.
In any case, I think it is best to tend very closely to that area after taking care of the blockage. Keep it energetically clean, and “bandaged,” if you will. When something causes a blockage, it can just end up re-creating itself if you do not also factor in what caused it, and how to prevent it.
Localizing Your Practice
So much witchcraft emphasizes how important it is to honor and work with the Earth, but then teaches us spells with ingredients we basically have to import using locations we don’t have access to. It’s rare to find an existing grimoire or guide book that actually works with where we live. We can still use them, but it doesn’t enhance our connection to our local land, which to many can feel important. Here are some tips for localizing your practice and working with the land you actually live on.
See what nature exists around you. Explore your own backyard with a critical eye. What plants can you actually go and pick yourself? What are those plants associated with? Do you have access to a creek or river? What does your local land actually have on it? If magic correspondences for your local plants haven’t been written about, you may have to do your own research.
Example: I grow several plants on my back porch which I can potentially use for magic. There are magnolia trees and rhodedendrons on the grounds of my apartment complex. My parent’s neighbors have chickens in the backyard, so I have access to some feathers when they shed.
Check out local folklore, legends, etc. This is one of my favorite parts, but can also be the hardest. What are the stories of your area, both on a local and cultural scale.
Example: A West Virginian may incorporate legends of the Mothman. Everyone says that one building on my old college campus is haunted (and they’re right.) People talk about that liminal-space feeling when you drive down that one road at night.
Find the magic spots. Sometimes the urban legends will tip you off to these (usually in a bad way) but other times you can find them on your own. A place where the energy is just right for some reason. A place you can go to be closer to nature, or a place you could host a ritual if needed. Sometimes it’s just a place where you can feel your mind open a little bit.
Example: The shady corner of a public park. The tunnel downtown. That weirdly-perfect circle of trees in the woods behind Wal-Mart.
Meet your land wights. Spirits of the local land. This could be the fair folk, but also house spirits, the spirits of the trees near you, the nature spirits of wherever you are. They’re there. Be good to them and they’ll be good to you!
Note: Some spirits and wights will not be interested in working with you, and that’s okay. I generally think it’s good to at least leave a polite offering to just be on general decent terms even if you never work with them more directly beyond that.
Check in with your Seasons. Harvest holidays generally don’t have actual lifestyle importance to most people reading this. The seasonal shifts other people write about may be from a very different climate than yours! Figure out a calendar that works for you. It doesn’t have to be detailed, but something that ties you to the seasons as you actually experience them. I also love working in any fun annual festivals nearby, if any.
