Tadc seemed to want to have a TV Glow ending about how repression will tear you apart but wasn't willing to have anything but a happy ending.

Yeah repression will make you push everyone away and you'll rip every part of you that can care out and kill yourself anyway. But like, your friends will all get together and start to care about you and misgender you together after your dead. It's okay.

You'll kill yourself but it's okay because everyone who you knew are on a couch together having a happy ending. Look they're having a happy credits sequence where you're completely absent. They didn't forget about you though they let your corpse swim in an aquarium. They play a movie that deadnames you on a projector.

The show has a happy ending specifically because they removed the trans woman. All of the characters stop thinking about her once they get her backstory and that's why they can move on and be happy and start bonding with each other. This is a good thing.

The only other character who dies in the show comes back at the end and gets a redemption and misgenders Jax too yippie. Happy ending for all.

I have heard of black people warning their kids that the race of a police officer is cop and you should not expect solidarity from them. The same applies to other types of minorities.

The sexuality of a police officer is cop.

The gender of a police officer is cop.

When you become the enforcer and protector of capital, you are making the deal to be slightly favored by the system over others like you, in exchange for being its servant. Your solidarity is with the system that you serve, even if it hates you.

If you want solidarity with those the system hates, you cannot be the system's servant and defender.
