Tbh we are so sick of being told to separate our alters from their sources when they're severely attached to it, and our fictives hate when people say "oh you're not *actually* the character". It pisses us off so much. A lot of our fictives are very attached to their source or to the character they're based off. Life is too short to get mad at someone for being attached to their fucking source/source media or the character they're based off. God forbid an alter loves their source/source media a lot, and has an attachment to it.

Sorry for the long rant, we just severely hate this a lot.

NOD NOD,, introjects shouldn't be forced to source separate if they're not comfortable. I'd say even if it is causing harm (which it usually isn't btw) forcing source separation can sometimes cause even more harm especially if the introject isn't ready or doesn't want to

Hot take: there's no set "you can't go above this many" number for how many alters you can have from one source. If someone has 8 alters from a single source that is okay and valid, it doesn't mean their faking it's just what happened (Can we be 💻?)
