Hi! You can call me Gekko. I make art, primarily for my Hollow Knight AU, named Feral PK AU, but you'll also find occasional dragon/dinosaur art or maybe even fanart from other media. I also reblog posts from various other things, so it can get a bit chaotic.
That being said, the AU is the main focus of this blog. It is a slice of life AU for my favorite characters which mostly takes place in Dirtmouth, though over time it also evolved into a personal worldbuilding and character driven project.
Just a heads up, it does stray quite a bit from the canon and many popular fanon interpretations, so please approach with an open mind! If you have any questions, check the FAQ below first and don't be afraid to send me asks about it!

AU RELATED DISCLAIMERS/FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
» The AU takes place after the Embrace the Void ending, and so The Knight/Ghost is not present.
» The events of Silksong don't happen in the AU as they do in the game. To make it fit with the pre-existing AU lore, I wrote a different story based on characters and themes introduced in canon, which is why some characters are very different.
» The Pale King's name in the AU is Vyrm (an alternate spelling of Wyrm that he uses as his name), though I occasionally refer to him as FPK. I would prefer if he was referred to with this name. At the current point in the AU he and The White Lady are separated.
» Please keep in mind that the AU originated as something I found comfort in, and it remains that way. There may be inconsistencies, I might retcon things on the go, and some things may simply not be well written. I also have no plans to turn it into a fanfic or a comic.
» I'm always open to answer questions about the AU and the characters! So if you have any, please don't be afraid to send me an ask, I absolutely love responding to them. 💖

What would Aika's dad (forgot his name, I think it starts with an "M"?) think of her if he were to hear of her/meet her/see her?

He would definitely recognize her as his, those eyes are unmistakably his. What would he think of her? I think, knowing that she has some of his powers, he'd wonder if she'd be useful to him. After all, it would not be a stupid idea to have another powerful being devoted to him. I do imagine he keeps at least one of his children around where he lives, though more as a servant than anything. Perhaps their mother died while she and the child were there, and he thought they'd be useful so he didn't get rid of them.
However, actually getting to know her, he'd realize she's a lost cause. She clearly has no love for him, he didn't have control over her childhood and now he'd see the consequences of it. He'd calculate the risk of letting her live, and once he'd decide she's not a threat, he'd probably just leave her alone, unless she was on his turf, in which case he'd likely try to kill her.
I don't think he'd be disappointed, that'd imply he cared about her in the first place. He probably doesn't even remember her mother, either. Aika didn't exist to him prior to the meeting, and there's a good chance he'd forget about her some time after. It'd take a lot to reach his cold heart, if it's even possible, though Aika hates him too much to even attempt. Perhaps he'd find that hatred amusing, considering they never even met before. I like to imagine he's somewhat like the White Lady of this au. Cold, uncaring, someone who doesn't comprehend empathy. In his case, however, it's reached far past the point of confusion like with WL. I imagine he prides himself on just how much he doesn't care, and how weak and hilarious the mortals are for caring. So even if, for some reason, he became fond of Aika, it'd be wise of her to simply stay away. Which, thankfully, would be her exact course of action once she realizes killing him is likely not something she'd ever succeed at.

I absolutely adore their AU version of Grimm, so the moment I realized I had an excuse to draw him I knew I had to take it. I wanted to lean into the dramatic, flamboyant confidence of the design and just let him be ✨fabulous✨ rather than trying to build a whole scene around him.
Characters like this aren't my strong suit so I did my best but I'm very proud of how he turned out :3
one thing i really love about the hk games is how well they do low-key representation. like yeah the grey mourner and the traitors daughter are lesbians. yeah sheo and the nailsmith are dating. yeah the vessels are genderless and phantoms gender is ambiguous on a good day. yeah the princes of verdania are gay. their identities are treated as something entirely ordinary and are casually integrated into the larger world, because they are ordinary, because queer people are people and dont need to be pointed out with red arrows and circles every time they walk into a room. and because, at the end of the day, who cares. the world is ending or has already ended and youre fighting its zombified corpse. the knight is too busy self-sacrificing and hornet is the single most lesbian coded lead ive seen in a videogame. they do not gaf.
