OOC: Good question. Tumblr keeps flagging my posts for no reason, so I haven’t been able to participate, we’re trying to figure out what happened to some friends who disappeared in real life, and, with school, everything’s a little messy. So ideally, yes, but it might take a moment to get us back on track. We’re working on it though, I think, and enough people wanna keep going that it should work!!

I am not a satanist so I can not provide in-depth knowledge but there are many branches/types of satanism. Here is the ones I know of.. I might get a few things wrong but as said before I don’t practice satanism.

The Church of Satan: The church of Satan belives in no deity except for that of yourself! You are your own god/goddess. You worship yourself in the form of self-love, self betterment, happiness, and pursuing knowledge. To name a few. This branch of satanism encourages sex, but sexual acts towards children or animals are considered sins. (This church was founded by the man who wrote the satanic bible)

The Satanic Temple: Above all this branch encourages benevolence and empathy as well as the embrace of common sense and justice. This group does not worship Satan as a deity but rather as a figure off rebellion. Recently you may have heard that the temple erected a statue of Baphomet on public property in Detroit because of the city building a statue of the 10 Commandments. They also held a “Pink Mass” at the funeral of Westboro Baptist Church Leader Fred Phelps’ mother. Gay couples were welcomed to the pink mass and encouraged to publicly display affection and wish for Phelps’ mother to be “gay in the afterlife.”

Luciferianism: Luciferians are most concerned with the pursuit of knowledge. They worship Lucifer (mostly as a symbol but some as a deity) rather than Satan. To them he embodies self-determination and liberation from the slave mentality. Luciferians’ main goal is to help people “take responsibility for their own life and act as an individual moral agent, using the full potential of their own genius and thereby optimizing possibilities.”

Christian-based Duo Theism: This is a very small sect of Satanism that differs greatly from the rest. Theistic Satanists believe in the Christian bible… but in the war between Satan and the Lord, they’re on the side of Satan.

Garrett nodded and wiped at his eyes. He stood up.

“Okay. Okay, Bram’s talking on the phone already, I guess. Come on. We gotta go to Toni’s.”

“Sounds like a plan. Lets get going.”

It didn’t take long for them to get there.

“Okay, look for a phone. Once we find it, we’ll meet up with the others at the bakery. There’s a secret safe room in case of emergencies. I think this counts as an emergency.” He said. He started looking around for it.

Cal nodded and turned away from Garrett to look. He couldnt look as hard as he wanted to, as his mind was reeling. His mind kept going to Peter and Abby instead of the phone. He kept thinking of things he probably shouldn’t be thinking.

“It’ll be okay, Cal. It has to be. We just… We just gotta find the phone, find out what happened to Happy, and save him if need be. The others are probably fine. Deep breaths, man. Deep breaths.” He told him. Then, to himself, really, “Oh! Gosh, I’m an idiot. I can just call the phone.” He pulled out his own and called Happy’s.

Cal did as Garrett said and calmed down before tuning in to his surroundings for Happy’s phone. He turned to the sound of ringing.

“Over there, I think I hear it.”

He went over to where Cal pointing. He searched the stairs and stood abruptly when he found it. However, he whacked his head on the railing as he did so.

“Found i- Ow!”

“You okay Garrett? That sounded like it hurt,” Cal said as he walked over to where Garrett was holding his head, “ You found it though? Where-”

Cal leaned down and saw the the phone. He picked it up and held it out to Garrett.

He rubbed the back of his head and stood up. “Ah, yeah. Thanks.” He took the phone. “… It.. looks like it’s locked..” He sighed. “We should head to Sookie’s now. I’ll let you into the safe room and wait for the others in the front. Sound good?”

He nodded. “Alright, this way, man.” He lead him over to Sookie’s. “It’s, uh, kind of.. hidden. There are only two ways to get it. From the outside and the inside. We gotta go in from the outside to get the spare keys. The outside entrance is, you know,” he rubbed the back of his neck, “it’s a family secret. So, you can’t. Like. Tell anyone about it. Anyways..” He walked over to one if the many rose bushes lining the sides of the building. “If you look closely, two of these bushes aren’t actually rose bushes. They’re fake.” He grinned a little and move them, revealing… dirt. He bent down and brushed some of it away. Eventually, a small, wooden trap door was visible. He opened it and gestured for Cal to head in. “Use your phone for a flashlight and I’ll be right down.”

Cal immediately pulled out his phone with wide eyes and followed Garrett. He turned his head from side to side, taking in the genius of the set up.

“Garrett this is amazing. How did you guys come up with a set up like this? I wouldnt have known it was fake unless i really looked for it. Of course ill keep this a secret I feel like im in a spy movie.”

He turned to Garrett and made a motion of locking his lips with a key.

“… We maaay have seen The Goonies one too many times. Which is why I suggested this place. Oh! Here we are!” He ran ahead and opened a door. He went in and felt around for the light switch. The lights flickered on like old grade school ones. It was a little dusty from lack of use, though that was probably a good thing, but it was otherwise clean. There was a wooden table in the middle and off to the side, a love seat and matching couch. There was a counter with a sink and a microwave, a few cabinets and a mini fridge on top. The room was a cool grey-blue. Near them, a few sets of folding chairs. Garrett opened the drawer nearest the chairs and took out a set of keys.

“Okay, I’ll be right back. I’ll be up front to let the others in through the door over there.” He nodded to the other door. “That way I can hide the outside entrance again.” He gave a closed eyed grin. “There are snacks in the cabinets and water in the mini fridge. Be right back!” He left out the way they came.

As he waited for the others, he sent a text to Bram to meet them all there when he could and one to his Mom explaining the situation. He also asked if she could send them all some pizza. She said she would and if anyone needed to crash at their place or the safe room, she had some extra sleeping bags.

Took a minute for them to get there but they did it. They walked in, a bell going off from the door that made them smile faintly, they scanned the room looking for the two boys. Once they spot them they walked on over not entirely sure what to expect from all of this.

“What do you guys need?”

“Any idea what Happy’s password is?”

“He’s.. He’s in trouble, MJ.” He said quietly. “Do you know how long he’s been working for Tony? Or how long he’s known him? Maybe it has to do with that?”

“I- I think he’s been there for more than five years but I’m not sure exactly. If he told me I don’t remember,” They stopped for a moment trying to calm their thoughts of a million things that could be wrong, “what happened?”

“I don’t know.” His voice sounded almost strangled and he held the counter a little tighter. “That’s why we need the phone unlocked. Come with me. I’ll get us to the safe room here.” He lead them to inside entrance, a back door hidden by one of the quilts hanging on the wall.

When they got to the room, he explained where the snacks and water bottles were and pointed out where Cal was.

“I’ve already told Nora and Bram to meet us here and Momma is sending pizza over.”

Cal motioned for them to sit next to him. He turned to Garrett.

“Did you tell them?”

Immediately he knew he’d have to step out soon. The two if them had a lot of worry and other unpleasant emotions going on, mixed in with his own, well, he figured he’d get used to it eventually, but eventually just doesn’t happen in two minutes.

“That Happy’s in trouble? Yeah. We’re gonna try to unlock the phone, but I figure we’ll have better luck when Bram gets here. Four head are better than three, right?” He tried to lighten the air.

“I mean, youre really tense. I know that this must be hard for you, loosing Happy, not being able to get ahold of Bram. Its overwhelming. God, I know its overwhelming. But, I’m here okay? We’ll get through it. We have to.”

The little silver thing disappeared into his fist. His gaze remained on the floor and his expression was a tense one. In a flash, however, it disappeared too and was replaced with a small smile.

“Don’t worry about me, you’ve enough to fret over, yeah?” He told him. He glanced around. “Man, too bad there isn’t an oven down here. Otherwise I’d go get some ingredients and bake us something. What do you think? Should I bake something once we get the phone unlocked?” Once Bram is here. Once you guys would be safe. “We are in a bakery after all.” The only sign of tension left was his fist. His knuckles were starting to turn white.

Cal knew it was a bit invasive, but he got worried.

He frowned. “My hand is-” He looked down. Oh, fuck. “Oh..” He opened it. It was a charm bracelet. It had a sneaker with blue gems at the bottom, a little recipe book, a “wooden” spoon, movie tickets, a soccer ball, the aromantic flag, a pizza slice and other miscellaneous charms.

“Just, uh, don’t go telling everybody about it.” He scratched the back of his neck. “I normally wear it around my ankle, especially during games, hidden in my sock. It’s kind of, like, I guess, my good luck charm?” He shrugged and put it in his pocket. He wasn’t gonna spill that he only fiddled with it when he was worried or nervous. That would not have helped the mood in the room. At all.

Cal stood. He grabbed his things and headed towards the door.

“Sounds like a plan. Lets get going.”

He opened the door for him and followed him out.

It didn’t take long for them to get there.

“Okay, look for a phone. Once we find it, we’ll meet up with the others at the bakery. There’s a secret safe room in case of emergencies. I think this counts as an emergency.” He said. He started looking around for it.

Cal nodded and turned away from Garrett to look. He couldnt look as hard as he wanted to, as his mind was reeling. His mind kept going to Peter and Abby instead of the phone. He kept thinking of things he probably shouldn’t be thinking.

“It’ll be okay, Cal. It has to be. We just… We just gotta find the phone, find out what happened to Happy, and save him if need be. The others are probably fine. Deep breaths, man. Deep breaths.” He told him. Then, to himself, really, “Oh! Gosh, I’m an idiot. I can just call the phone.” He pulled out his own and called Happy’s.

Cal did as Garrett said and calmed down before tuning in to his surroundings for Happy’s phone. He turned to the sound of ringing.

“Over there, I think I hear it.”

He went over to where Cal pointing. He searched the stairs and stood abruptly when he found it. However, he whacked his head on the railing as he did so.

“Found i- Ow!”

“You okay Garrett? That sounded like it hurt,” Cal said as he walked over to where Garrett was holding his head, “ You found it though? Where-”

Cal leaned down and saw the the phone. He picked it up and held it out to Garrett.

He rubbed the back of his head and stood up. “Ah, yeah. Thanks.” He took the phone. “… It.. looks like it’s locked..” He sighed. “We should head to Sookie’s now. I’ll let you into the safe room and wait for the others in the front. Sound good?”

“Sounds great. Lets get over there so we can call and let everyone else in too”

He nodded. “Alright, this way, man.” He lead him over to Sookie’s. “It’s, uh, kind of.. hidden. There are only two ways to get it. From the outside and the inside. We gotta go in from the outside to get the spare keys. The outside entrance is, you know,” he rubbed the back of his neck, “it’s a family secret. So, you can’t. Like. Tell anyone about it. Anyways..” He walked over to one if the many rose bushes lining the sides of the building. “If you look closely, two of these bushes aren’t actually rose bushes. They’re fake.” He grinned a little and move them, revealing… dirt. He bent down and brushed some of it away. Eventually, a small, wooden trap door was visible. He opened it and gestured for Cal to head in. “Use your phone for a flashlight and I’ll be right down.”

Cal immediately pulled out his phone with wide eyes and followed Garrett. He turned his head from side to side, taking in the genius of the set up.

“Garrett this is amazing. How did you guys come up with a set up like this? I wouldnt have known it was fake unless i really looked for it. Of course ill keep this a secret I feel like im in a spy movie.”

He turned to Garrett and made a motion of locking his lips with a key.

“… We maaay have seen The Goonies one too many times. Which is why I suggested this place. Oh! Here we are!” He ran ahead and opened a door. He went in and felt around for the light switch. The lights flickered on like old grade school ones. It was a little dusty from lack of use, though that was probably a good thing, but it was otherwise clean. There was a wooden table in the middle and off to the side, a love seat and matching couch. There was a counter with a sink and a microwave, a few cabinets and a mini fridge on top. The room was a cool grey-blue. Near them, a few sets of folding chairs. Garrett opened the drawer nearest the chairs and took out a set of keys.

“Okay, I’ll be right back. I’ll be up front to let the others in through the door over there.” He nodded to the other door. “That way I can hide the outside entrance again.” He gave a closed eyed grin. “There are snacks in the cabinets and water in the mini fridge. Be right back!” He left out the way they came.

Cal nodded and sits. He turns his head to look around the room before giving into temptation and walking around, looking at everything. He opens the cabinets and fridge to rummage and shuts them empty handed before sitting again and succumbing to his thoughts.

As he waited for the others, he sent a text to Bram to meet them all there when he could and one to his Mom explaining the situation. He also asked if she could send them all some pizza. She said she would and if anyone needed to crash at their place or the safe room, she had some extra sleeping bags.

Took a minute for them to get there but they did it. They walked in, a bell going off from the door that made them smile faintly, they scanned the room looking for the two boys. Once they spot them they walked on over not entirely sure what to expect from all of this.

“What do you guys need?”

He frowned and put Happy’s phone on the counter with his own. His was opened to Happy’s last text.

“Any idea what Happy’s password is?”

“I could try a few things but I would probably get it locked out… why?”

Mj looked at Happy’s familiar phone case, nothing complex but still unique. They hadn’t really thought about his password before. It could be anything really, any date he found significant to his life. Mj definitely didn’t know all of those.

He was silent for a moment, steeling himself for an onslaught of worry and other unpleasant emotions he knew would come off of them.

“He’s.. He’s in trouble, MJ.” He said quietly. “Do you know how long he’s been working for Tony? Or how long he’s known him? Maybe it has to do with that?”

“I- I think he’s been there for more than five years but I’m not sure exactly. If he told me I don’t remember,” They stopped for a moment trying to calm their thoughts of a million things that could be wrong, “what happened?”

“I don’t know.” His voice sounded almost strangled and he held the counter a little tighter. “That’s why we need the phone unlocked. Come with me. I’ll get us to the safe room here.” He lead them to inside entrance, a back door hidden by one of the quilts hanging on the wall.

When they got to the room, he explained where the snacks and water bottles were and pointed out where Cal was.

“I’ve already told Nora and Bram to meet us here and Momma is sending pizza over.”

“MJ, hi. How are you?”

Cal motioned for them to sit next to him. He turned to Garrett.

“Did you tell them?”

Immediately he knew he’d have to step out soon. The two if them had a lot of worry and other unpleasant emotions going on, mixed in with his own, well, he figured he’d get used to it eventually, but eventually just doesn’t happen in two minutes.

“That Happy’s in trouble? Yeah. We’re gonna try to unlock the phone, but I figure we’ll have better luck when Bram gets here. Four head are better than three, right?” He tried to lighten the air.

“Yeah, thats sounds good. Besides, I think all three of us have had…quite a day. We should try to wrap our heads around or situation before we try and tackle the phone.”

He just nodded and fiddled with something silver.

“Pizza should be here soon.” He said quietly, too quietly for Garrett.

Cal got up from where he was sitting to walk over to Garrett.

“You okay?”

What am I saying of course hes not.Cal shook his head and looked back at Garret, fighting back his urge to hug him in case he didnt want to be touched.

“I mean, youre really tense. I know that this must be hard for you, loosing Happy, not being able to get ahold of Bram. Its overwhelming. God, I know its overwhelming. But, I’m here okay? We’ll get through it. We have to.”

The little silver thing disappeared into his fist. His gaze remained on the floor and his expression was a tense one. In a flash, however, it disappeared too and was replaced with a small smile.

“Don’t worry about me, you’ve enough to fret over, yeah?” He told him. He glanced around. “Man, too bad there isn’t an oven down here. Otherwise I’d go get some ingredients and bake us something. What do you think? Should I bake something once we get the phone unlocked?” Once Bram is here. Once you guys would be safe. “We are in a bakery after all.” The only sign of tension left was his fist. His knuckles were starting to turn white.

Cal looked over Garrett. He knew that shift was forced. It was too quick. His eyes stopped back at Garrett’s hand.

“Garrett, your hand is turning white, whats making you clench your hand like that?”

Cal knew it was a bit invasive, but he got worried.

He frowned. “My hand is-” He looked down. Oh, fuck. “Oh..” He opened it. It was a charm bracelet. It had a sneaker with blue gems at the bottom, a little recipe book, a “wooden” spoon, movie tickets, a soccer ball, the aromantic flag, a pizza slice and other miscellaneous charms.

“Just, uh, don’t go telling everybody about it.” He scratched the back of his neck. “I normally wear it around my ankle, especially during games, hidden in my sock. It’s kind of, like, I guess, my good luck charm?” He shrugged and put it in his pocket. He wasn’t gonna spill that he only fiddled with it when he was worried or nervous. That would not have helped the mood in the room. At all.

Cal walked back over to the cabinets and went through them again before walking back to Garrett and Mj with handfuls of small snacks.

“I know its not that good to eat if youre not hungry, but I really dont care right now, plus i dont know youre guys’ hunger levels so…. food.”

He grinned, “Thanks, man.” He’s still worried about me. Great. “Pizza should be here soon enough though.”

"Well, maybe the pizza will go well with," Cal paused to look at the snacks he chose at random, "Mini Oreos and Cheez-its. You never know."

hot take but closeted lgbt people are so fucking brave. being closeted doesn’t mean you’re lying to yourself or to others. that’s bullshit perpetuated by cishets to make us feel bad about ourselves and there’s no shame in being closeted. coming out should be entirely up to you, for you to decide how to come out and who to come out to. no one else is entitled to that information unless you want them to be and whether you’re closeted to stay safe, because you’re unsure or not ready to be out, or you just feel more comfortable being in, you’re not hiding and you don’t deserve to feel guilty. i’m proud of you and hope you can come out when you’re ready or want to, and it’s safe to do so
