Bad autoharp insult
You’re like the guitar pick on my autoharp; you bring out the worst in me and make me sound like crap.

Episode 2: Intro to Strum Patterns
Here is my cover of Ain’t No Grave by Crowder!
I really love this song and I hope you enjoy.
Autoharp book recommendation
I’m mostly self-taught, but this book, You Can Teach Yourself Autoharp, has been a great resource. It walks you step-by-step through different strum patterns as well as talking about useful things like how to change strings and different styles of picking. It’s also pretty cheap, so if you want a good autoharp book to work though, I’d recommend it.
Unfortunately my webcam doesn’t record autoharps very well, which makes me sad.
However, I will try and modify my strum patterns so it’s not excruciatingly tinny when I record videos.
The first will be the Crowder song “Ain’t No Grave” from their album Neon Steeple. So stay tuned!
Episode 1: Introduction to Autoharp (as well as me)
Next episode: Common strum patterns!
Stay tuned!
Skye Boat Song by Jo Ann Smith on a diatonic autoharp.
Her youtube channel is really great, and I love her playing!
This is what the chord buttons on my autoharp look like. All are original except for the first two in the bottom row. I changed those from A flat major and B flat seventh to B minor and F# minor because you use those two a lot more. I’ve also refelted several of my chord bars, and will show you how in a later video.
This is a picture of my personal autoharp Hobbes.
It’s a 21-chord Oscar Schmidt that I’ve since modified with some changes to the chords, which I’ll discuss in a later video.
Ta da! Thus The Autoharp Blog is born! :)
