Hiatus Explained
Okay, so as many of my current followers may be aware, this blog slowly declined into death over the last few months- I kept receiving messages and questions and spell requests- I want all of you to know that I have not been just simply ignoring your needs- unfortunately my laptop died a death (as much as material things are material, the laptop was like a child to me, she was the first “adult” thing I ever spent “real” money on and she’s served me well for over 8 years, god love her.) She was beyond repair (I sent her into surgery but she couldn’t pull through!) And as I am ever as poor as poor people, I have nooooo money to buy a replacement laptop. So I was forced to watch my blog go to the dogs via my phone app, which as any good tumblr user knows, is unbareably ridiculous to use.
So here we are, and I am now typing this on a notepad/laptop clip in thingy that is teeeeeeeny tiiiiiiny compared to my spacious 17″ massive hunk of beautiful laptop, and I genuinely think I’ve already developed RSI from this tiny keyboard which clearly does not have blogging in mind at all. However it’s all I’ve got for now until I am in a better position to save money for a propper laptop and we must be thinakful for what we have.
That being said, I am going to try get through all of your messages and requests ASAP- that is if any of you are still following me! It may take a while, as there are quite a few, and also spiritually I have been a very bad Earth child, having recently moved house and jobs and gained a lovely boyfriend and family stuff, I have been utterly neglectful of my work and really need to dedicate some time to the cause- so, keep being patient (love you all)
Thanks
emily
May I know if weather witches believes in God? bc I want to be one but I'm religious so is that a problem? pls don't judge me- :| thanks!
Of course, no judgement here. There are secular and non-secular practices, for example I am an agnostic witch but some people worship their own Gods and/or Goddesses depending on who they are and what they believe. Tailor your practice to yourself, the more personal it is, the better. If you worship any God/Goddess and you follow what you believe in, you're doing the right thing for yourself xxx

Hypothetical routine(s) and stuff for a baby witch to do
So a lot of people I think are feeling that once you become a witch you need to do lots of things, but they aren’t terribly sure what it is they are ‘supposed’ to do. Here are just a few little ideas for things you could do, if you wanted to.
During creative free time:
Write affirmations or prayers
You could write them for daily use (like a morning affirmation), one for each day of the week, one for phases of the moon, or different ones to encourage or bind emotions or help you get through tough days.
Doodle sigils for use during a later time
Be creative and have fun, as you are not ‘required’ to use any sigil you have made.
Think about what kind of energy (elemental, herbal, animal, planetary, etc) you thin would best be used to charge each sigil
Create lists of magical ideas you would like to explore or write spells for
Don’t worry about whether something is ‘real’ enough or will work or not.
Make a list of tools you would like and tools you already have
Draw or write about your perfect ideal tools and what you expect them to do for you
Include herbs, stones, crafts, natural finds, and anything else you like
Create an inventory of things around you, in your home, or that you can easily find, for use in your craft
Write what your current beliefs are
Contemplate your current belief system and morals, and how you think magic works.
Make a list of the most important things you want to learn more about or explore
Write down your current talents and abilities and try to think of ways they can be used magically
Build altars
Draw ideas or create digital altars if you do not have the physical space
Be inspired and create them spontaneously or spend your time and research all the elements.
Try writing a spell - it doesn’t matter if you know a ‘right’ or ‘correct’ way. Just give it a try and see what you come up with!
During research time:
Research what sort of plants are local to your area and discover what their uses are
Look up the medicinal and magical uses of herbs and plants you have in the house and on your property
See if you can discover what sorts of special crystals or stones are near your area or mined close by
Take your lists of magical items you want and research their uses, both modern and historical
Try to discover not only what an item is used for, but why, and how it became associated with those actions.
Research what kind of religions and magical traditions have historically been practiced in your area
Look up lore and mythology for your geographic location
Find what sorts of helpful books are at your library, whether they be related to religion, psychology, meteorology, mythology, history, gardening, herbalism, cooking, magical traditions, or anything else pertaining to your magical education.
Find a popular pagan or magical author and research them to understand the context behind their writings and get an idea of what others think of them
Create your own reading list of library books to keep you occupied
Research closed religions/closed magical systems so you can understand what is not available for you to use, and to gain valuable information on other magical cultures.
During practice time:
Choose 2-3 energetic exercises such as these:
How to send energy to other people
Energetic Check
Distance Charging
Texting Predictions
Energy Ball
Energy Cannonball
Witch’s Guide to Programing
Witch’s Guide to Grounding
Witch’s Guide to Centering
Witch’s Guide to Shielding (Shielding Masterpost)
Witch’s Guide to Charging
Work on a couple of exercises until you feel really comfortable with them and are satisfied that you now have that skill. Then try practicing others.
Spend 50-70% of the time figuring out how to make the exercise personal to you and comfortable for you
Spend 10-20% of the time learning how to focus and get in the necessary headspace to do energy work
Write (if you want) and/or perform simple candle, knot, paper, (whatever) spells as need arises
Try spells for bringing peace and calmness in to your space, giving yourself good luck, protecting against certain dangers, causing small events to happen, or binding harmful actions done against you
Identify unique needs you face in your everyday life and try to manage and control them with energy work
During upkeep time:
Cleanse your personal spaces
Learn floor washes and keep the recipes and ingredients handy
Discover what cleansings and purifications will work for your situation
Personally cleanse
Take a cleansing shower or bath with special ingredients or using the powers of elemental energies
Do healing/balancing meditations or spells
Clean your altars and tools, keep your spaces tidy
Leave offerings to any spirits you work with
Weed your gardens, check on your plants or pets
Update your grimoire or journals
Include personal experiences, new successes, or things that you have learned
After waking up for the day:
Repeat appropriate prayers or affirmations
Spend time in meditation
You can try to clear your mind, magically make way for the day ahead, or do a guided meditation for preparedness or any other purpose
Draw a tarot or oracle card for the day
Use any magical oils or soaps as part of your waking routine
Including glamoring magic as you get ready for the day is a good way to practice
State your goals for the day with magical intent
Magically plan for free time you need during the day so it will be sure to be open for you
During snacks and meals:
Enchant food by adding in herbs or spices with a little energy and a magical command
Enchant drinks by stirring, adding energy, and a command
Give small offerings to spirits you work with by leaving a little food left over on your plate
Magically affirm that the food will bring you energy
Before going to bed for the day:
Repeat prayers or affirmations
Spend time in meditation
If you meditate when you get up and when you go to bed, try a sunrise or sunset meditation, or complementary meditations
Identify what successes you have had that day
Push away or transform any negative energies send to you that day
Add additional protective shields for sleeping
That was all I could think of. Add more if you think of some!
This is wonderful

Birthday Rituals?
Does anyone have a nice Birthday ritual they want to share? My birthday is tomorrow and I’d like to do something ritualistic to celebrate, but have no idea what to do that’s not a standard ritual?
This ritual is one of the most intensely beautiful and powerful rituals that most Wiccans and Pagans can ever experience, if you are in a Coven the High priestess will perform this ritual with all the Coven members being involved but if you’re not in a Coven you can do this on your own. It is where you invokes the Goddess directly into yourself. Regardless of how you practice it, Drawing Down the Moon is best performed on the night of the Full Moon. For obvious reasons, it’s more suitable to be performed outside, but if the weather is bad or cold or your neighbors are easily startled, you can perform the ritual indoors.
Light a white candle and put it in a place where the Moonlight can be seen, such as a window ledge. You can also light an incense stick if you wish to cleanse the space your in. Relax your body and remove any negative thoughts from your mind. Take deep breaths.
Stand at your altar if you have one, don’t worry if you don’t just face the Moon with your arms crossed over your chest, and feet together. Now say: Mother Goddess, lend me your light Give me your power on this faithful night I invoke you into my being and soul Fill up my vessel and make me feel Whole I stand before you in awe and in love I cherish your gifts you stow from above I ask you tonight to show unto me My Mother, My Goddess so mote it be.
Move your feet apart to about shoulder width, and raise your arms up and out to welcome the Goddess into you. Close your eyes and feel the power of the Moonlight wash over you like rain. Think of the awesome power of the universe you are invoking and be at one with it. stand for as long as you feel you need to, basking in the Moons glow. Let the energy of the Moon wash over you healing and cleansing you.
Drawing Down the Moon is an altered state of consciousness, a ritual possession by the Divine. It is not uncommon to feel the energy of the Goddess for quite some time following Drawing Down the Moon, so don’t be alarmed if you feel a heightened sense of clarity over the next few days. You may also feel extremely emotional - it’s not uncommon to cry or laugh spontaneously during this rite.
Doors & Locks Protection Ritual
This protection ritual literally requires no supplies that you don’t have—unless you don’t have a door. (And, you know, the back part of my house used to be made of cardboard—so it’s possible.) Perform the ritual at each of the outside doors in your house, one door at a time.
Open and close your door three times. Say: “This door opens to let out the bad and let in the good, and closes to protect my house and family from harm. For what gets past my wards, this door will be another obstacle. Let nothing enter without permission, and let unwelcome guest know when it’s time to move on. From the doors to the windows, from the hearth to the walls; this house is my own, and I am at no one’s mercy.”
Turn each of the locks on each door three times. As you do so, say: “As this lock turns, let it strengthen my wards ans serve to protect my home and family. Let it stop intruders—human, non-human, and once-human—who would enter without my permission. From the locks to the chimney, from the bricks to the studs; this house is my own, and I am at no one’s mercy.”
This protection should become stronger every time you close and lock your doors. (I continue to do each three times every night.) But, if you feel like the ritual has fizzled out, it’s easily repeated.
Sleeping Beauty House Protection
This house protection spell is inspired by Maleficent’s thorn curse in Sleeping Beauty. It is designed to stop unwanted people or negative entities from entering the house, and to hex them if they try. It could also be adapted to protect a specific object or person.
Items:
An empty jar
A selection of thorns (rose thorns, hawthorn thorns etc)
Some pins and needles
Stinging nettles
Cactus spines
Any other sharp items you may wish to add
To give it a bit of an extra kick you could also add:
Cayenne pepper
Vinegar
Lemon juice
Also, if there is a specific person you’re trying to keep out, add their name on a bit of paper, a photo of them, some of their hair etc to the jar too.
Once you have added all the ingredients to the jar, hold it in your hand and visualize your house being completely surrounded by thorns that constrict to keep out whatever it is you want to keep out (a specific person, negative entities, negative people etc). If they try to pass, they’re cut by the thorns. As you do this, say:
A forest of thorns shall be their tomb Born through the skies on a fog of doom Now go with the curse and serve me well Around this house I cast my spell!
Keep the jar hidden from sight in a dark place, where it wont be disturbed.
Don’t lie: when you were a kid, you had marbles. Maybe you found a bag full of them in the basement, or maybe you have a mini-bag that comes with those Christmas cracker things that also have colourful paper crowns in them (oh come on, you know what I’m talking about!) Here’s...
Give that witch a jar. Witches love jars.
breelandwalker (via christowitch)
Your witchcraft is NOT my witchcraft.
(via natural-magics)
Ingredients:
One jar, ideally with a hard lid
One or more tokens that remind you of the person you’re banishing (a picture or piece of paper with their name will work fine)
One or more black candles (or any colour that symbolises finality or control to you)
Dirt, salt, or...
They do altar tools, herbs, resins, oils, candles, kits and all the good stuff!
They do post outside the UK too, for all my followers in the rest of the world, but with herbs and such, they warn to check on your countries policies on things like that coming through the boarders because if it gets seized, there’s nothing they can do.
I’m excited about this shop because I have always struggled to find cheap online stores based in the UK so I’m spending all my money there :D
People: What kind of witch are you?
Me: A lazy one
