Independence Day
Happy Independence Day everyone! Today marks the 70th year of our independence and we could not be prouder. Despite all the complaints we’ve got about the country, and all the faults we find in it, there’s always something or the other that brings us back to where we were, and makes us love our country a little more. The one thing that I’ll always love about our country is the culture and the…

Must Have Ethnic Wear This Raksha Bandhan
Raksha Bandhan is just around the corner and we’ve got Paromita Sengupta from India Rush in this guest post, giving you a breakdown of what you can wear on this festive day! We are so blessed to have such good devils beside us during those naughty childhood days, for staying during the toughest hours during teenage-breakup issues and hard core partying throughout our life. Don’t we miss them the…

Monsoon loving | Interview with Shillpa Purii for her new 'Leaf' collection
Monsoon loving | Interview with Shillpa Purii for her new ‘Leaf’ collection
It’s almost festive season in India and that means it’s time to stalk up on your best Indian wear and have some great accessories to go with them. I always keep a look out for good jewellery that goes with both Indian wear and western wear, so when I got the opportunity to interview Shillpa Purii, I was thrilled to see the new stuff she had come up with. Unfortunately I didn’t get to go for the…

Detox and Chill with Kirkland Signature
First things first- I’ve never drunk green tea before. Shocked? Yeah, I thought so. Despite hearing so much about it, I always stuck to my preferred blend of tea that I painstakingly sourced from the UAE through every relative or friend or friend’s friend who ever went there. For the past few weeks however, the stress of final year and everything has been getting to me, and I was on the lookout…

Change The Formal Game
Change The Formal Game
So you all know how I felt like royalty in the previous post featuring LibeRent’s Tropical Fleur skirt, and I decided to switch things up a bit by changing the formal game. Most of the times we tend to stick to neutral greys and whites when it comes to formal clothing, just to play it safe. And since I knew I’d be the first to pull on a dull grey pair of pants and an equally dull sweater, I…

Of Florals & Silver
Of Florals & Silver
I’m too much of an impulsive buyer, and also have my nose proverbially stuck in fashion blogs and designer websites, checking out the new trends and wondering if I’d ever have the guts to wear something of that sort. Safe to say, a combination of the two is a horrible thing to be. Many times I’ve seen beautiful dresses or tops on a model online and I just have to buy it, even though I know I’d…

Shibuya Town
Ever since Jenn Im from Clothes Encounters wore a jacket like this she bought from Korea, I’ve been lusting after it, and finally found one- at Zara, of all the stores! The red talks enough so it made my styling really simple. I went for a baseball-ish look (I was soo tempted to wear a cap) with trusty jeans and white shoes. The yellow wall was in perfect contrast with the jacket, so obviously I…

Texture Play
Playing it safe is always a good idea, but a little experimenting here and there doesn’t hurt anyone! A good way to experiment, if you’re bored of colours, is to switch up textures. Add depth to the outfit with textures and layers, while keeping it monochrome. By the way, long cardigans are totally our thing now. Throw it on, throw it off.. there’s so many ways to style this piece of clothing, so…

That Bohemian Vibe
Sunshine streaming as you wander through the grass bare feet connecting with the earth shoulders soaking up the warmth of the sky like a sunflower you turn to the sun with hopes and dreams in your head. Street-shopped off shoulder top | Forever21 high waisted denims | DIY + antique chokers, key chain from Sikkim as pendant For updates, love and more bohemian musings, follow us on social media.

Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons, is definitely one influential character! Emilia Clarke, who plays Khaleesi on the show styles some extremely edgy and royal gowns and capes. I personally love her style and I feel like her clothes truly reflect her character, and definitely does justice to her name. So naturally, her style has been very popular among the masses. What initially started off as Cosplay costumes, Daenarys’ style is now beginning to be adapted into mainstream style culture.
What has particularly hit off is the cape look, wherein the cape falls evenly on her shoulders, exposing the rest of her arms, giving it a petite and chic look. This post is just another reflection of how popular her style has become.
I am no Mother of Dragons, but this Khaleesi inspired outfit gives me a confident and stunning edge.
What I am wearing: A grey top, cut out at the sleeves to give the top a cape-ish appeal | Vintage Chokers to give the look a royal vibe. | Jeans and Marks&Spencer Boots
Tell us what you think about the look in the comments below, and don’t forget to subscribe to our social media!

Beauty Without Bunnies
I’ve always been an animal lover, but I’m guilty to say that in this consumerist race I’ve often gone in for products that I find, after some horrifying research, had been made perfect after multiple tests on little bunnies, dogs and heaven knows what other creatures. Recently, CUPA released a huge group of beagles from testing labs, and their plight broke my heart. At long last, my family and I…

WHICH FRAGRANCE DO YOU CHOOSE THIS MONSOON?
WHICH FRAGRANCE DO YOU CHOOSE THIS MONSOON?
The monsoon makes me feel like sticking to the basics, the comfort zones. But a little experimenting here and there can do wonders. Evoke earthy days and petrichor by playing around with earth scents, musky aroma and warm amber bases, or call on the fragrance of the rain- it’s really your choice! To make it simpler, here are the top five fragrances we’ve got picked out for this season- CKIN2U BY…

In this part of Styled Three Ways, we’re showing you yet another unconventional way to style your tan sandals with an ethnic vibe similar to the first post in the series. Monsoon Lipsticks ft. CouponRani
Monsoon Lipsticks ft. CouponRani
The monsoon- dull, grey, overcast clouds hanging drearily over cities. But it also brings pops of colour here and there- fresh green leaves, budding flowers in the undergrowth, and of course, colourful makeup. It’s no doubt that the eyes and lips are the parts of the face that receive the most attention (eyebrows too, but that’s for another post!) Makeup-wise, working more on the eyes and lips…

Swiss Glory
In a bid to discover a little more of Europe after Italy captured my heart last year, I recently traveled to Switzerland and Paris. Got to experience the pure, unadulterated beauty of Lucerne and Interlaken in Switzerland. It was simply beyond words- quaint houses, bright snow, sleepy side lanes and historical sites dotting nearly every corner of the cantons. Here’s a quick travel post on…
