Holly Grail Drugstore Products
I am always trying out new products-drugstore and high-end. I am like a kid in a candy store every time I walk into Walgreens and see new products on display. I am always switching up my skincare and makeup routine because I'm constantly on the hunt for a great face wash, foundation, mascara, etc. Though trying out loads of new things is fun, I do have certain products that i always come back to. I call these my holly grail products, and they all happen to be from the drugstore!
1. Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation
Words cannot even begin to describe just how much I adore this foundation! I have combination/oily skin, and I like my makeup to last all day long, but I find it difficult to find a drugstore foundation that will do that for me. I've tried so many foundations from the drugstore, and I found that the only foundation that lasted all day and didn't make me look like a grease ball was Revlon Colorstay. The only complaint I had with the Colorstay was that it looked thick and cakey on my skin. With the Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 foundation, I did not have this problem at all. This foundation gives me a nice medium coverage that you can easily build to a full coverage without looking cakey. It feels light on the skin, and looks natural. This foundation does not budge at all during the day. I will put this foundation on at 6:00 a.m. and it lasts all the way until 10:30 p.m. when I remove my makeup. This foundation is a must try if you have combo to oily skin, but if you are on the normal to dry side, make sure you moisturize before you apply it.
2. Garnier BB Cream Oily to Combination Skin
I've never been a fan of drugstore BB creams because they all felt and looked like tinted moisturizers. None of the drugstore BB creams I tried were ever as good as high-end ones, in my opinion. The Garnier BB cream is the only drugstore BB cream that I truly love. This BB cream looks so beautiful on the skin, and it gives a great medium coverage! The biggest problem I have with drugstore BB creams is that they give little to no coverage at all, but this BB cream gives me such great coverage while looking natural. This is all I wear in the summer months because it lasts all day on my combo/oily skin.
3&4. Clean and Clear 10% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash and cream
These are two of my favorite acne products of all time! these two products have saved my skin time and time again. I try out new acne products all of the time, but I always come back to these two whenever I need to clear a breakout fast or keep my skin clear. the face wash does not dry me out like other acne products. It is a cream cleanser that is gentle and effective because it keeps medicine in your skin even after you wash your face. The spot treatment is also wonderful and does not dry out my skin. I can put this on all over the affected area and my breakout is 90% gone the next day! If you suffer from acne, you know that certain acne products only work for a while and then they stop being effective because your skin gets used to them. Since the skin does not get used to Benzoyl Peroxide, these products have always been effective for me, and I've been using them for years!
5. Lore'al Age perfect Glow renewal
This is my favorite facial oil that I have ever tried. It is on the expensive end of drugstore products, but it is 100% worth the money. Though it is called Age Perfect, it can be used on all skin types-it is not just for mature skin. I am 18 years old and I love this stuff. I put it on after my moisturizer before I go to bed, or sometime I use it in place of my moisturizer, and my skin is so radiant and glowing in the morning. My skin feels soft and moisturized, and I find that over time my skin is more even in texture.
