Okay, my late New Year's Resolution is to stop writing 2013 on things.
It's Christmas Eve! It's going to be completely impossible to sleep tonight. I miss it back home. Around now, I would usually be tracking Santa with my brother. I miss it.

She snuck into my storage locker I'm using until I get a place. I guess I left the combination on the ground or something, and she stole all the songs I've been writing and everything! I swear I will eat her with milk like my Nona's Bran Flakes! Which make me throw up. So then, I would throw Nacki up! Yeah... that'd be nice.

Let Them Eat (cheese)Cake || Cat & Drew
Today was Cat’s birthday, and Drew was going to take her out for cheesecake. Cat was kind of surprised, because she typically only got material presents, and she never had really gotten taken out before, especially from someone she had just barely gotten to know. She was happy, and she really loved cheesecake.
Cat sat at her house, watching reruns of her favorite TV shows, until Drew came. Cat could barely pay attention, however, because she was nervous. The last time they had hung out together, it was really awkward. Cat really didn’t want a repeat of that happening again, so she was hoping this would be better. She turned off the TV, and focused on getting ready to go. While Cat waited, she started to worry again. This time, unlike the last time, it was going to be just she and Drew. Cat began to be a little bit freaked out when he was nervous with his sister, so she could only imagine how awkward it might be this time around. It could’ve also been that she was a boy - sure, she’s had boyfriends before, but they’ve all been pretty rude. She’d never had really experienced a nice boy, that really cared about her. She was just hoping that Drew was really as he seemed, a sweet, yet awkward boy. Cat tried to stop worrying as she saw Drew’s new car pull into the driveway. She walked up to her door, and opened it. “Hey, Drew! How are you?"
"Hey!" Drew greeted Cat in return when she opened the door. He felt a tiny amount of ease wash over him, smiling back at the small redhead as he backed away from the door to let her out. “Happy birthday, Cat. You ready to go?" he grinned, waiting for her to close and lock the door before walking with her back to the car. Normally Drew wouldn’t put so much thought into things like this, but it was her birthday and he did has some manners, so he waited at the passenger side of the door, tugging it open and holding it for her as she got in then shutting it before walking around to the driver’s side and joining her. Drew pulled away from the curb and turned on the radio so there’d be comfortable noise in the background and less of an awkward tension like the one that haunted them from their first outing together, and kept his smile on if only to keep the birthday girl at ease while the drove. He was a lot more relaxed in this setting. He didn’t have to make her trek miles to their destination and there wasn’t that ‘new people’ thing going on, since the pair had been interacting in the same group now. " I love The Cheesecake Factory." he mused. “Glad you’re happy with it too because regular birthday cake is so boring." he joked.
The ride was easy and comfortable in the new car and Drew was a pretty great driver. He gestured to the radio as the drove, telling Cat that she could put on anything she wanted as he made lefts and rights to the restaurant. Each passing minute saw more and more tension easing between the pair, making Drew thankful he wasn’t ruining her birthday for her. A few more moments passed before the arrived and Drew shut off the engine and got out, meeting Cat at her side of the car before heading inside with his hands in his pocket. The pair got a table easily enough and once seated, Drew looked through a menu, practically drooling at the situation. “Man this stuff is hard to choose from…" he mumbled. “So you’re eighteen now, huh?" he asked. looking up from the menu to Cat.
Cat smiled back at Drew, heading out the door. "Thanks, Drew! Yeah, I'm ready." Cat locked the door, following him to the car. She climbed into the car, thanking Drew for opening the door. Sitting down, she buckled her seat-belt and put her purse on the ground near her. Cat had felt relieved that she wasn't in the same position as last time; not just because she didn't have to walk, but because it was just really awkward for her. "Oh my gosh, I love the Cheesecake factory too. I've loved cheesecake for a long time. I could go on about it all day if I had to!" She stopped herself, before she started to seem odd for rambling on about cheesecake. "Yeah. There's always 'birthday cake', but you don't hear 'birthday cheesecake' that often." Cat exclaimed, smiling.
Cat soon noticed how smooth the ride was. She had thoughts back to the time she and Trina had to go to the animal hospital, and got lost occasionally, and had always hoped that no car ride would ever turn out that bad again. Cat flipped through the stations until she found something she could listen to. The girl slowly began to relax. She had already knew this wasn't going to be the same as last time. Soon enough, they had arrived at the restaurant. She got out, following Drew, and clutched her bag heading inside the building. Cat sat down across from Drew, and picked up a menu. Cat slowly looked through, reading all the descriptions. "I know. I really don't know how they expect anybody to choose just one to eat. It's almost impossible!" she agreed. Cat put down her menu, knowing she was most likely going to get her favorite; red velvet cheesecake. "Yeah, I am. It's really weird. I feel like I'm supposed to start becoming an adult, but I don't know if I want to. People tell me all the time I need to act more mature, and I guess I just never listened to it. But, I guess I should." Cat said, without thinking much. Quickly, she exclaimed, " Oh my gosh, sorry! Sometimes I just start rambling on. Anyway, what are you thinking of getting?", feeling embarrassed about opening up too much on a simple question. She all of a sudden felt really awkward.
