I've started diving into the addiction fics on AO3 and honestly, they're hitting a little harder than usual. I believe it's because I've also suffered from an addiction (Self harm: 4 and a half years clean) and I relate to Buck on so many levels that it feels like I'm looking at a mirror. Just seeing him doing a very similar thing that I have done years ago breaks my heart and from what I can tell by my experience, it'll only get worse from here.
