i'm not any team!

imo both aegon and rhaenyra have valid claims to the throne for different reasons. one based on the precedent of the main line continuing through the eldest son (or his son), and the other based on the precedent of the king naming his heir regardless of birth order.

plus i find the whole division in the fandom irritating, this is meant to be a fun thing. i've seen way to many people get genuinely upset or send death threats, try to dox people, etc. all because someone disagreed with their opinion about fiction.

but at the end of the day, i don't care what team anyone is on aslong as people aren't attacking eachother, and people remember that it's fictional 🫶

Loved this devastating Alicent and Helaena scene. Alicent, so desperate not to lose her, starts grabbing Helaena and yelling at her, the exact treatment she tried to prevent back in 2x08 with Aemond (and notably exactly how she treats Aegon in 1x06). She struggles so much with her kids but tries to be good to Helaena, yet can't help but fall back into that old habit.

(I also love that she calls moon tea a blessing. The underlying resentment of her forced motherhood?)

And for Helaena's part, she finally gets to make a choice for herself for once. She raises her voice for I think the first time ever. Their relationship is rapidly fracturing and I think it's so key that it's because Helaena is prioritizing her own agency. She's disobeying a parent the way Alicent would've never done with Otto when she was a girl.
