Sable lowers the wet towel, he's in a black band tee that he's cropped himself. And a pair of what's essentially booty shorts.

A brand new series of bats are tattooed on his stomach and abdomen, going from left and right.

"...What's up, Marko?"

Sable is groaning, a wet towel over his face.

"Welcome to Crescent Moon Comics...what the fuck do you want..."

He clearly isn't in a good mood with the hot weather and the humidity...but he has to make money somehow.

Sharp green eyes locked onto Sable, a sleazy little smirk tugging at the lips of the owner.

Hell he liked that- got him all nice and excited. Anton sauntered his way over- that delicious swagger in his body, he clearly thought very highly of himself- never told no. His eyes doing a quick once over.. testing his look, lingering a little lower than he should.

‘well hello gorgeous~’ he drawled, getting a kick out of the man’s.. minor outburst of.. anger? perhaps just frustration.

Anton thrived in this sweltering heat- his body naturally regulated a higher temperature.. him being covered in fur sometimes does that to a guy.

Licking his teeth gently, he leant up against the counter, leaning in a little too close- it’s obvious the mutt had no intention of looking round the store, he simply just wanted to perv on the other man.. he’d eyed him from outside.

It probably didn't help that Sable was in a crop top one half, due to the new tattoo on his chest of more bats, to go along with the series of bats on his arm.

The other half, mainly due to the hot weather. He gently lowers his towel to raise a brow at the strange new man, who's voice and appearance he didn't recognize.

"...? Can I help you?"

Sneering- Anton bit his cheek.. this was way too easy.

‘That all depends on what sorta.. assistance yer offerin sugar-‘

He purred, just leaning in further. Sable didn’t seem to be pulling away- nor did he seem to be thrashing out in anger at him.

That’s a plus.

Perhaps he’d enjoy it either way.? That goes without saying. Backing up, he huffed gently, scrunching his nose.

‘You always in here.? I ain’t never spotted you about? shame they’re hidin such a sexy piece of ass out here-‘

Sable explained, a slight grimace as he isn't sure what to do with this man flirting with him.

He gets off his stool to point a finger at him.

"You either buy something, or I hit you with my angel to get you to leave..."

He gestured to the spiked baseball bat behind the counter.

Snickering, Anton just let his tongue flick across his teeth suggestively. Eyeing the baseball bat- that could cause damage- not severe.. definitely not to him.

But the sensation would be nice.

Another shove before realizing something. Putting his arms infront of him with a bewildered look behind his eyes.

For the first time in what seems like ages, Aspen isn’t on the opening shift today. In fact, she’s not called into work until late afternoon. Which normally she’d be appreciative of; she loves a sleep-in morning…

But her late start today has been tragically ruined by her walk to work in a torrential downpour.

Aspen is drenched when she steps foot into Carla Cafe. She groans softly to herself and slips off her soaking flannel, leaving her in a slightly damp white tank top and her sopping cargo pants. Yay.

But her drenched state isn’t the most surprising thing.

There’s a person, someone she hasn’t met before, hunched over in the corner. They’re…reading something, she thinks. Not uncommon in a cafe, but the way this person is hiding themself off is new to her.

She doesn’t know why, but Aspen feels like he’s searching for something.

Well, it’s her job to greet her customers, so…

“Hey…” she offers softly, strolling up beside her new customer. “Um…can I get you anything?”

Orion had been here for a while. He was going through one of three stacks of Manila folders, with his satchel on the table.

There's also a yellow highlighter in his hands and a notebook peaking underneath his bag.

There was a reason he was in the corner. There was a few, actually.

Orion looks over at Aspen.

"Mhn? Uh I'll have a flat white, thanks...you didn't need to come over here though. I probably need to take a break anyhow..."

She can’t help but be intrigued by the array of objects spread across the mysterious person’s table. If she didn’t know better, Aspen would assume he’s some sort of detective or private eye.

When he responds almost defensively, Aspen offers him a gentle smile. “Pal, this is my job. I don’t mind moving around the cafe to serve customers.” She nods at him before sliding over to the counter and hopping over.

The making of his flat white happens without much thought at all. Her hands move like mindless clockwork, brewing and mixing to maintain the ideal consistency of the beverage. And maybe a little bit faster than normal; she wants to know what this guy’s deal is.

Aspen returns to the table with the requested beverage in her hands and an inquisitive look in her eyes. She gently places it on the surface before holding her hands on her hips and raising an eyebrow.

“My nosiness is getting the better of me. Can I ask what exactly you’re doing that you need a break from? If you’re willing to enlighten me?”

"...? Me? I'm just researching..."

Orion carefully all these things to the edge of the table and up against the wall.

He then grabbed the drink and nodded his head lightly as he was being technically truthfully.

"You usually don't have people working and drinking here...?"

“Nah, we do alll the time. And normally I’m not one to pry into people’s work, but I have to admit I’ve never seen anyone doing…whatever this is in the middle of the cafe,” she replies, lightly gesturing to the pile of stuff in front of the other person at the table.

She crosses her arms and raises her eyebrows in curiosity. “Are you a detective or a lawyer of sorts? I mean, or maybe you just really like storing things in Manila folders. Who am I to judge?”

She realizes she’s rambling. This isn’t a typical behavior of hers, but it certainly isn’t typical to find someone as intriguing as this individual in her store.

Curiosity may be the death of her some day.

She scoffs and plants her forehead into her palm. “Geez, I must sound like such a nosy asshole. Let me stop and start over.” She brushes invisible dust off her shoulders and puts her hands on her hips. “Hi, I’m Aspen. Thanks for coming to the cafe. I don’t know what you’re doing, but it seems cool. I hope it’s okay that I’m curious, haha.”

"...I'm not a detective or a lawyer. And it's okay to ask..."

A soft chuckle. The Slightly tanned young adult looks Aspen over.

"I'm Orion. And like I said before, I'm researching..."

The word ‘researching’ piques the barista’s interest. She’s experienced her fair share of mysteries as of late. And…been left without answers.

She really shouldn’t continue to pry on Orion’s personal business.

But there’s a way he’s speaking with her that seems familiar.

She knows that kind of unyielding dedication. She’s experienced it herself, for nearly a decade. He’s missing something. No…someone.

Obviously, this is an assumption, and Aspen needs to confirm her suspicions somehow.

The dumbest way about asking enters her mind.

“This is a weird question, but did you see the movie Clue? Came out two years ago, based on the board game.”
