"The conman who's lying to and underpaying his 14-year-old employee is the moral compass of the whole series" makes it sound like Mob Psycho 100 is so universally filled with amoral characters that a conman ranks as the most ethical.
This is not true. Mob Psycho 100 is full of many moral characters. It's just that the conman who's lying to his 14-year-old employee is such a unique and brand-new type of fictional guy that he achieves being a liar and a conman and a moral compass all at the same time with absolute consistency and zero contradiction.
What a privilege it is to love you 💚🖤

i am unfortunately utterly in love with the idea of volleyball being a sport where you always look up… furudate writes about this sport with touching words, and i never fail to relate to them while thinking of life. and i also love the idea of going after the ball no matter what, even if you don’t think you can reach it before it touches the ground. i love that you have (and want) to try, i love that you have to keep the ball in the air, i love that you keep your eyes on it and follow it blindly until it’s in the palm of your hand or on the opposite court. i think furudate did a wonderful job with the portrayal of this sport, and i love that the ups and downs are presented in such a positive light. you can transpose any volleyball-related element to life, and that’s why i respect furudate’s work more than one would imagine.
really love how the mob psycho 100 wiki has a category for self-proclaimed psychics and it only has reigen listed
My ideal fourth Knives Out movie would take place in NYC and make the murder victim be a high profile Broadway actor and have all of the suspects be their fellow uber rich castmates who were jealous of their success/wanted them out of the show for whatever reasons/hated their guts because it means that Benoit Blanc gets the chance to geek out about musicals and theater like the diva he is and use the stage for his dramatic "explain the murder" reveal in front of however many people are attending the performance on the night he solves it. And the whole cast consists of famous Broadway performers like Patti LuPone and Eva Noblezada and Jeremy Jordan and maybe we even bring back Sydney Lucas in a big way

The relationship between Elle and Emmett in the Legally Blonde movies is super important to me because basically, Emmett knows he’s with an extraordinary woman who shines, who’s going to reach the very top, and is incredible to the point that he himself can hardly believe she’s that amazing. So, as a confident man, he knows that the only thing you can do when you’re lucky enough to be with an incredible woman is to step aside and be a supportive partner, a consort who holds space emotionally, is there when needed, and always cheers on every project and idea. Because what truly amazing women want isn’t a man to guide or dominate them: it’s a man who admires them and walks alongside them.
My favorite part of Legally Blonde is that Elle didn't even try to finesse her way in. She didn't cheat, she didn't bribe anyone, she didn't use her connections like her shithead ex did. Homegirl sat down, said "How do I do this the Right Way?" And when the answer was "Hard Work," she didn't flinch. She cracked her knuckles and just did it.
Elle Woods is an inspiration, and that's the facts.
And did it in pink! She grew, she changed, and still remained true to her core essence. Always loved this movie!!
yall ever miss your own energy?? like damn wtf happened to me??
sometihing about wake up dead man we NEED to reconcile with is the ending
like. sorry. i dont believe in juds egalitarian version of catholicism when women cant even hold positions of power in that particular denomination. it reads very "Don't worry, NICE men are at the head of this branch of the patriarchal institution now, so it's fine :)"
narratively, the ending is fine. it ties up all the things it needs to. and for some of themes it does the same. but with the point it makes about "religion can and is used to subjugate and manipulate women and their stories, sometimes with the women themselves as willing perpetrators", it felt like a bit of a "Don't think about it too hard" moment, which is a cop out imo
to be clear i liked the movie, but despite rian johnson identifying himself a deconstructed from christianity, i think there is a lot of american cultural christianity baked into the film whether he's aware or not
