here’s a good view of the French thylacine doe i was talking about. You can see the taxidermist gave her a front-facing “kangaroo” pouch instead of the natural backward pouch they really had.
a lot of people j find make this mistake when modelling or drawing thylacines because when you say “marsupial “ people think kangaroo and because kangaroos have a front facing pouch (due to their erect posture) but most marsupials do have this backwards pouch

This is the tissue which resides directly underneath the keratin layer -the horns- of ... horned mammals. It's soft and spongy at the tip.
