Nasa Planetary holiday ideas
Because my project idea is not slanting towards modes of future transport and the commercial experience of it, I came across these posters created by Artists for Nasa, conceptualizing what poster adverts could look like for future planetary holidays.
What I find interesting about thises posters is their Retrofuturism outlook which is used to create these using a very specific style that you would think to see in maybe the 1950s and 60s.
The act of using a retro style goes back to a period where the future was heavily theorised and created towards as it was a time of excitement and fascination when technology, aircraft aviation, the television and the moon landing within one decade showed the pure futuristic advancements humans were making which made the idea of the future appear to be there and then.
Because of this theory, its an interesting route to design these posters around this era as they want to recapture the excitement, colours and imagination that drove people around 50 years ago.
