This started as a Decaelo blog, but Decaelo needed more time to cook. In the mean time, we're making a few stops to Mercy, Texas, across the breadth of roughly a century. It's a place for me to play with some themes and character types that we'll see in Decaelo while I get back into the habit of writing (and get some bad habits out of my system.)
My life has changed a lot since Decaelo first latched onto my mind. Mostly the non stop grief and disasters. Decaelo has changed a lot too, and it needs a more disciplined and practiced hand. I promise, it will return.
But for now, you can get acquainted with a small Texas town, the sprawling family that lives there, and the horrible labors of love they must perform in order to maintain their control.
