Derek nods, âI figured it wouldnât be an issue, given why I had to do it.â He wouldnât bring it up but he could easily point police in Stefanâs direction for the death of near by collage students if there was some kind of problem with what he did to keep the others place open. âWhile you ripping people open and killing them.â He states bluntly, not one to beat around the bush. He folds his arms over his chest, âI wonât be doing it again, to cover for you, I mean.â He gives his boss a stern stare before he looks around the room again, âYou know why I work for you?â
As Derek put it so bluntly, Stefan pressed his lips thinly. âWell, when you put it like that, thereâs no way I could argue with you.â But he also understood why Derek refused to do it again. âThank you for keeping everything afloat.â He did appreciate that. âI wouldnât expect you to. Youâve done enough, Derek. More than you had to.â Stefan acknowledged, nodding his head, though the werewolfâs next question caught him by surprise. Shaking his head, he was curious as to what the other male would say next, interested in why he chose to work for the vampire.
