More Ginkgo Guild AU Plot:

After summoning Giratina Volo and Akari start secretly feeding them the power they need to open a space-time rift

This takes a few months of dedicated prayers/worship offerings

Giratina keeps trying to stay aloof and treat them like nothing more than convenient humans/allies but Akari is an absolute sweetheart and Volo's genuinely fascinated by everything they have to say

It doesn't take long for Giratina to grow attached to both of them even if they're too tsundere to admit it

(Do they start sleeping together? Yes? No? Maybe??? I'll be honest I originally came up with this AU back before I'd committed to involving Giratina in the polycule so their role stayed platonic, but I could easily see a version of them that fucks the humans as well.)

Giratina eventually opens the space-time rift

Everyone in Hisui is understandably Concerned about this and Volo and Akari are doing their best to keep up their poker faces

Not too long after that the Noble Frenzies start happening and people get even MORE Concerned

Akari also gets very concerned because none of them realized the frenzies would happen and she feels REALLY guilty over it. The Nobles are her friends, she doesn't want them to suffer :(

Thankfully the clan leaders both immediately go "oh shit this is way more than we can handle, good thing we have these two strong as fuck friends that can help us!"

So Volo and Akari get recruited into helping with the frenzies

Akari has zero hesitation about this because, again, she feels guilty so she's gonna jump at the chance to make things right

Volo is mostly going along for her sake (he also feels a tiny bit guilty)

Ginter also gets roped into helping with Electrode's frenzy specifically because of his reputation as an electric type specialist

After an exhausting battle to quell Electrode (where Volo and Akari both help) Ginter starts bitching about the frenzies like "FUCK these frenzies and FUCK this rift I swear to god if I ever meet who's responsible for this mess I am going to wring their fucking NECK"

To which Akari briefly flinches and makes a guilty expression

and Ginter IMMEDIATELY notices

"...WHAT DID YOU DO." "Um, I can explain--" "WHAT. DID. YOU. DO."

Volo and Akari are forced to explain that they may have summoned the pokémon equivalent of Satan just so they threaten God into answering questions about Akari's amnesia

Ginter proceeds to age ten years over the course of ten minutes

Ginter then gets to meet Giratina

Ginter proceeds to chew the FUCK out of Giratina

(Giratina is unfazed)

The situation somehow devolves into Ginter dragging everyone involved to the Ancient Retreat for backup from Cogita

Cogita is NOT happy to learn that her foster kids summoned Satan to try and punch God

Volo is very defensive and shows no remorse over any of it

There is a lot of yelling

Things are about to boil over when Giratina suddenly cuts in like "ENOUGH!!!"

And before anyone can process that Giratina is suddenly fussing over Akari

Who is crying like "I'm sorry I'm sorry I just wanted answers I didn't mean for it to get this bad"

Giratina is alternating between trying to soothe her and shooting glares at everyone else because how DARE they make the little human cry

Volo also freaks out and drops everything to try and comfort his girlfriend

Cogita and Ginter are left watching in disbelief as the literal god of chaos devotes all their attention to comforting one (1) sobbing human

And both proceed to look at each other like "...I think I need a drink" "yeah that makes two of us"

Platinum AU thought: Akari ends up being the go-to person for negotiating with other groups, not because she's especially good at it, but because she's 1- The Hero, 2- friends with Adaman and Irida (and on good terms with Cyllene), and 3- preferable to dealing with Gris directly for most normies. Plus, nobody's gonna try to screw her over on a deal, for all the above reasons!

Oh I can absolutely see that. I can also see Gris being a bit reluctant to let Akari handle those negotiations at first, not because they don't trust her, but because they saw firsthand how badly she was used by the Galaxy Team. They're worried that she's going to fall right back into the "selfless hero" role and burn herself out trying to help everyone all over again. If they had their way Akari would get to enjoy a quiet, spoiled life in the Platinum Settlement where she never has to speak to any of her former "friends" and her only concern is being a trophy wife.

...But of course Akari's far too restless for that. And Gris does love that spirit of hers, so when she insists on helping they don't have it in them to argue. They just settle for keeping a close eye on her and stepping in whenever she starts to burned out. If the other factions start relying on her too frequently Gris is quick to intercept them like "I do hope you're not bothering my wife." It leads to a few whispers of them being a controlling spouse but so long as it gets Akari a break every now and again they do not care.

Granted those whispers get a lot worse when there's a several month period of Gris being extra protective and keeping Akari away from basically all clan negotiations. The gossip is that something happened to make Gris jealous and they're sequestering Akari in the settlement out of possessiveness. Meanwhile the truth is that Akari's pregnant and the egg is making Gris's protective instincts go haywire.

Afterwards things go back to normal and they brush it off as Akari needing time to recover from a health issue. The rest of Hisui doesn't quite buy it but they're just glad they no longer need to go through Gris and/or Volo for all their Platinum Clan dealings.

Role Reversal AU scene that has popped into my head:

Fairly early in the story, Akari has been bugging Volo but disappearing before anyone else can see her, to the point where Volo appears to be arguing with hallucinations. Cue intervention with Cyllene and Laventon. Cue Akari showing up at the intervention and casually confirming it's all true.

Akari really putting her ghost education to use with all that sneaking around and popping in out of nowhere huh

Hi! Congrats on the 100 people following! I have a doodle idea. A few days ago your main blog reblogged the "Squidhood is a Spectrum. Either Eldritch Deep Sea Creature, or Cute Little Guy" and it stuck with me as something you could possibly attribute to Gris/Giratina. Giratina in full god of antimatter eldritch creature glory, and then being very cute, in Pokemon Form or Human Form. Brings to mind the X and Y Pokemon-Amie and feeding 'the devil' a macaron/little cake.

It was a silly little thought I had, but since you opened doodle requests I thought why not mention it. Bye!
