It's a little bit past Mother's Day, but Riley has left gifts for Leah and Maria at their desks with Ozzy's help. For Leah, a purple coffee mug and a purple lunch bag, and for Maria, a pair of boxing gloves that belonged to her dad and some nice makeup she'd picked out with Angie. Best cell moms deserve the best gifts.
as Leah approached her office Ozzy snuck up behind her, greeting her with a big hug and smooch hello. Before Leah could even get a word out Ozzy pulled out a bunch of roses from behind his back. “Happy Mother’s day!” He exclaimed with a wide grin.
“Oh my Gosh Ozzy, you didn’t have to do that! I- I’m not even a mom.”
“Are you sure? You look like one hot mama to me.”
She didn’t know whether to laugh, roll her eyes, or both.
“Riley wanted to help me get you a little something too.” Ozzy said as her gaze fell to her desk as they stood from the now open doorway.
The female cell’s eyes grew wide as she saw the gifts on her desk. “Riley got these for me?” Practical gifts in her favorite color. She was warmed by the genuine appreciation she felt from the gesture. “That is so sweet of her.” Leah sat in her chair to examine her gifts. On a small slip of paper inside the mug read a short but heartfelt note, “Best cell mom!”
Meanwhile at the police station, Maria arrived on the scene. She was stunned to see some sizable nicely wrapped presents on her work desk and stopped dead in her tracks.
She wasn’t mistaken, they were signed addressed to her! What was the occasion? Looking at the gifts closer, it said who they were from; Ozzy and Riley. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a spring green teen cell who had come to visit her during her hours.
“You guys got me presents?” She exclaimed with two hands to her chest.
