I've been thinking of regional differences between the towers because I'm sick of having to colour my drawings everytime & would much rather have each tower be easily read without needing their colours.

This of course contests with my personal beliefs that there is no such thing as a 'true' red because they started going extinct & resorted to what I shall only explain as jurassic park gene splicing with other towers to give themselves a fighting chance.

I am not dissing either artists style in any way because I love all of the graphic novels but like,,,

It's crazy to me go see people dissing Mike Holmes's style for having the dragons be too "human like" and then glaze Jake Parker seemingly just because he's a different artists when in the Darkstalker gn he has the dragons standing on two feet and being in human like poses all the time

Like you people have spent so long spitting venom at Holmes that you ignore the fact that Parker does the same thing you hate on Holmes for in your love for someone who isn't Homes

my problem with Holmes’ style is that he tries to draw dragons like humans, not that he draws them in humanoid poses. you can very clearly see that he’s a human artist who switched to dragons for this specific purpose- their chests are huge, their snouts are super short, their wings rest UP for some reason, their back legs bend all weird, they move in a much more human-like way, etc etc (i can provide specific examples if that’s not making sense lol)

Parker in the other hand really understands dragon anatomy and that’s very clear in the way he draws. like sure sometimes they are on two legs or their arms are over their heads or something, that’s fine, we have to be able to relate their movements to ours somehow. but with Parker’s style it just looks so much more natural and real, i see it most in the way they fold their wings, the way they fly, and the way they walk

idk this is all personal opinion stuff but im just so happy to have a wof graphic novelist who Gets dragons

Something interesting in the Darkstalker GN. During the scene where Clearsight is flooded with bad futures, there's this image of Darkstalker attacking dragons with plants that wasn't described in the original book. You may notice DS eye's aren't colored in, but this isn't a coloring error, as we know of a certain evil plant that make's dragons eyes roll to the back of their heads. I think this is our first look at the Breath of Evil, and somehow someway in some terrible future, Darkstalker gets possessed by it. While I'm sure this is just an easter egg, it does bring up many questions. When does this take place? How did the BoE get to Pyrrhia? How did Darkstalker 1 not see it coming and 2 manage to get possessed by it? Cottonmouth is at this point stuck in the cavern, so how could this happen? I'm sure some clever fanfic writer could figure this out, but it's a crazy alternate future to consider.
