Yesterday I spent 7 straight hours researching and planning for a fic that will not see the light of day for at least a couple months. I fell asleep thinking about these plans and they're not even done yet. This is one of my proudest creations and I have nothing to show for it yet. And the best part? Most of what I've planned isn't even relevant, it's just the framework for the story to be built on. I love being a fic writer.

so many guys dressed up as grant wearing grant glasses and grant shirts and who look kinda like grant stood in a room for like an entire shootblock with this script memorized

do you think they talked??? or were they silent?? did they discuss the script or theorize about whatever the fuck is happening?? did a grant say 'i'm a new dad' just for all the other grants to go 'oh congratulations man!' and then start giving dad advice because some of them are also fathers???? how many of them are there because how many people would you need to make 'hi i'm 50' true for all of them??? when they left the room did they stream out in a crowd of grants?? do you think they made lifelong friends in that room? do you think they fell in love??? do you think one day their grandchildren will ask 'grandpas, how did you meet?' and they'll say that they met standing in a room dressed as some guy named grant and speaking identically because somehow they ended up standing next to each other and now their love story is forever immortalized in this episode???

immediate top 5 game changer episode btw there’s just so much to love. the slow reveal of the rooms. ify being the first to lose in room 1. catherine mccafferty being the episode’s main character and breakout star. the set design for all of the rooms but ESPECIALLY the spot the difference ones. 25 grants. the friendship(?) between hannah and the bouncer for room 2. demi accidentally plotting his own downfall by saying pop goes the weasel at the same time as hannah. sam trying to fill time while waiting for a player to win their way back up. the pic pong got him. a true fucking delight all the way down and back up again
