You know the more I've thought about it, the fact that Charlie and Vaggie do a romantic reprise of 'More Than Anything' feels like a strong indicator not just that Chaggie will end up being framed as a thematic parallel/foil to Lilith and Lucifer, but also that Charlie is specifically meant to be the counterpart to Lilith; the (half)human woman who inspires Hell through song, and Vaggie the counterpart to Lucifer; the fallen angel who fell in love with her.

I wanted to draw this shuake comic about Orion since last year because the impending supernova speculations were kinda popular back then.

I was trying to finish and upload this in January because it’s when Orion (and Betelgeuse and Rigel) is supposed to super bright and also since it’s when this comic is set in. Well, that didn’t happen but here it is.

It’s still winter and a good time to observe Orion lol. I mean, if it’s observable here with all its pollution, it should be visible like everywhere.

Anyway, this is a comic I liked working on and have a lot of feels for. So I hope you like it too.

The contrast between Souyo and Shuake is hilarious tbh they really jumped from 0 to 100 between p4 and p5

Souyo is just so normal- internalized homophobia is probably the biggest barrier to Souyo getting together. They're just guys being pals:) what if we were partners and held hands in the Walmart parking lot:)

Then with Shuake, there's literally no way to write anything remotely canon-compliant that doesn't have heaps of tragedy and six layers of metaphor. They're the pawns of gods. They're on opposite sides fighting for the same thing in different, morally grey ways. They're narrative foils. They've seen each other die. Akechi's mom is dead and he has the world's worst permutation of daddy issues. Akira willed Akechi back into existence just to be forced to let him die again. Or alternatively, to condemn him to a meaningless fake reality for eternity. They're both traumatized, walking mental health disasters. Akira's been shot in the head by Akechi- and neither of them seemed to be worse off for the experience.
