So what kind of plans do you have for continuing the story?Characters aging up? Really anything this is quality stuff and I want to see the au story completed. Of course if you just stopped because whatever reason that's fine too zero pressure.

a lot of people have asked about this.... i don’t think i will be continuing the story in the form it’s presented as on this blog, however i have remade it into an original story with my own characters. there’s not a 1:1 character equivalent (i.e. there’s no “new steven” or “new lapis”, the characters are not intended to be direct stand-ins for steven universe characters, they are their own things), but some of the new characters do take inspiration from how i had set things up for this AU. if anybody wants to learn about the new characters or story, i might post more about it. i just get kinda nervous sharing my original characters, since i never know if people will like them or not. haha. i’m really glad so many people still enjoy this story, though!

How old are the characters?

steven and connie are both 8 (in second grade), they are aged down a bit so it makes more sense for steven to have babysitters 

garnet is 24, pearl is 22, and amethyst is 21. (i decided on this before we knew pearl was the oldest of the group, i would probably flip garnet and pearls ages if i were to re-do this) 

jasper is probably in her late 20s or early 30s 

lapis has been a ghost for thousands of years, but she died when she was 20, so for all intents and purposes, she’s a 20 year old 

peridot’s age is ambiguously somewhere in the “adult” range. she’s an artificial intelligence that has only been around for maybe a year or two, but since she was programmed she doesnt need to “grow up”. i’d say if she were human in this AU, she and lapis would be about the same age (around 20)

Was there ever going to be any ships in the comic (I.e Lapidot, Pearlmethyst etc. (I haven't gone thru the archive yet cuz I'm too excited))?

i was mostly going to stick to what happened in the show, such as ruby and sapphire being married/garnets parents, and pearl and rose being exes. otherwise i was going to leave readers to decide what they wanted of the characters relationships. my personal favorite pairings are lapis/amethyst, garnet/amethyst/pearl, and lapis<>peridot, so i probably would have hinted at those.

ive made a small archive of stuff i was able to find. sadly much of it is lost to time* but if youre curious you can ask questions about it. since obviously nothing is off limits now you can ask about whatever youd like lol

You said in a prior statment that you had outlines for like 2 years worth of comics but would likely never draw them, dose that mean this comic is well and truly dead? If that's true is there a chance you'd ever post those outlines?

unfortunately i think i’d say yes, this comic is dead. i do have tons of outlines and concept art i can share (though be warned, a lot of it is like 3 years old at this point so i cant guarentee itll be good. haha)

would anybody be interested in seeing that kinda stuff?

man i hate that i have absolutely no time to work on comics because this joke i wrote while planning out future chapters is still EXTREMELY funny to me (i have outlines for like, probably two years worth of comics. TOO BAD ILL NEVER DRAW THEM)

answering some questions!

heres a drawing to give this post some color! because i figure ive left this blog without updated for long enough... it means a lot to me that so many people appreciate this AU even if i dont give it as much attention as i should!!!!! so i’m answering a bunch of questions ive gotten, under the cut: 

jasper is just a regular ol werewolf! under a full moon she is a wolf, any other time she is human. 

yes to both!

they are human :) 

thank you, i am glad you like it!! they carry weapons when investigating for self defense purposes (monsters can be agressive!). garnet uses brass knuckles, pearl has a nail studded baseball bat, and amethyst has an old dirty rope she uses as a lasso/whip. 

he is a manticore! 

she is secret government property, an experimental AI whose function is to catalogue and organize information, as well as an experiment in how human-like they could get a computer program to be. 

the comic is rated PG-13, mostly for occasional blood/violence and discussion of existensial topics that may be disturbing to certain viewers. also, amethyst might say the fuck word. but only once, because it’s PG-13

it’s on the back burner a bit at the moment, but im going to try my best to make new updates once i graduate in may/june. i’m trying to compensate for lack of updates by answering people’s questions about the story c:>

Jasper isn’t gonna be portrayed as irredeemable right? Cause like Jasper is my FAVORITE character in Steven Universe and I need some Jasper that’s portrayed decently. I’ll respect however you portray her I’m just hoping for an angry but redeemable Jasper uwu

me and my friend who write this AU love jasper a lot too, and we put a LOT of thought and effort into her backstory and arc in the comic! she and lapis are both in the “anti-hero” category, rather than the “villain” category. (the two of them have quite a history together.. but more on that later!)

OH YEAH! sorry for like, up and abandoning this blog outta nowhere. doing updates while juggling schoolwork and personal stuff got way too difficult for a while and when prioritizing, it kinda fell to the wayside. which is a shame, because i had fully outlined like six or seven updates. and i still love this story, i put a ton of work into it and i barely got to show anything!! im graduating in a month or two though, and im going to try (keyword: try) to get some more updates out once i have more time on my hands! thanks for sticking with me for this long<3
