“Y’ wandered a bit too far, didn’t y’?” she chuckled, shaking her head. “Fair enough. If y’ lookin’ for a place to stay, ‘Vroche can probably set you up with somethin’. He’s better at that than I am.”

“Alrigh’,” Dodger said with a nod. “Thank ya for the ‘elp.”

“‘S alright,” she shrugged, offering a warm smile. “Y’ want somethin’ to eat, kid? I got some money f’ somethin’.”

“Tha’s alrigh’. I can get somethin’ on my own.”

“Y’ sure?” she asked, doubtfully. She wondered if maybe he was just being stubborn and thinking it was charity. “I ain’t runnin’ a charity here. Just wondered if y’ wanted somethin’.”

Dodger shrugged, relenting. He nodded once and said, "Fine."

“Jack Dawkins,” he answered. “What’s yours?”

“Alexander Enjolras, nice to meet you but where are your parents?” He asked looking around to see if any one would come claim him.

“I don’t ‘ave any parents,” Dodger answered. “I don’ need any.”

Enj laughed dryly. “We all need parents.”

"Not me. I can do just fine on my own," he stated.

“Pleasure t’ meet y’, I’m ‘Ponine,” she replied, with a nod. “So where is home? I ain’t seen y’ round here, but then I’m probably just missin’ half the people who live ‘ere.”

“Nice to meet ya, ‘Ponine,” he greeted with a nod and a small, subconscious tip of his hat. “I’m from London, in England,” Dodger answered.

“London? Then what’re y’ doin’ in Paris?” she asked, looking genuinely confused. “You ain’t lost, are y’, little Monsieur?”

“I ain’t lost. I jus’ needed someplace t’ go. An’ so I found my way ‘ere.”

I need motivation to stop cutting and to live so I’ve found an empty note book where I will write everyone URL down if they reblog this. It will be my way of convincing my self people care. So every time I go to cut or I feel suicidal all I have to do it look at the note book and hopefully it will help

Enj grabbed his arm softly and knelled infront of him. “Hey, are you okay? Is something wrong?” He asked worried about him.

Dodger’s eyes widened slightly, shocked at the display of concern. “Yeah, I’m alrigh’.”

Enjolras was walking when a little boy ran into his legs. Enj stumbled back and stared at the child. They both stood there silently waiting for one of them to speak. Enj cleared his thought. “Excuse me.”

“My apologies, sir. I wasn’t lookin’,” Dodger rushed, taking a step back.
