It seemed like a fabulous idea to hang out with Sir Grant for a few days when Belle & Sebastian (the namesake of my furry babies) were in town, but it all fell apart. Gloriously.

Pro Tip: Do not serve that man/boy red wine.

Today, after a few wired and wakeful nights in a row, I reminded myself that it's never too late to decide what you want to be when you grow up... and I officially accepted an offer to study film screenwriting p/t at AFTRS this year.

2015 is already the best year of my life.

So I've been taking singing lessons again, in part to get the fuck over my introversion tendencies, and while I can (just) bring Nancy Sinatra and Dolly Parton to the table in front of my vocal coach, I feel like attempting Angel Olsen is so far away from possible without melting into a gelatinous mess on the floor - but in the meantime my neighbours will just have to deal with my stunted trials. It's fortunate that I also find them extremely annoying.

Hello tumblr. The goodies that arrived with my Kickstarter mail today are reason enough to kickstart a (possibly) temporary return to tumblr.

Basically, today is a splendid day!

Me and Hal Hartley in 1997 on the set of “Henry Fool.” In 2006 I reprised my role as Simon Grim in the sequel “Fay Grim.” Now Hal is Kickstartering “Ned Rifle,” the third movie in what he always conceived as a trilogy.

Hal’s a true artist, a personal filmmaker with a real vision. He’s always had to work to raise money. He’s working hard at it now.
