hello, I'm equinox, or Johnny. i am a disabled trans lesbian. i am schizophrenic, have PTSD & anxiety, arthritis & hEDS. i am recovering from COVID & having two necessary tooth extraction. im currently homeless, i was invited to couch surf with two roommates in a 1 bedroom house. they have been inviting guests over multiple days a week to sleep in the living room which is where i sleep and work, they have stolen items from me and admitted to it, they beg me for money when they know I'm broke, they force me to do things and guilt trip me when i don't, bthey smoke cigarettes indoors & have an excessive amount of cats that they do not clean up after. i am allergic to cats. the heater, toilet, stove and shower are broken, i haven't showered in weeks.
i have been invited to couch surf with another friend but their house is similar situation where there are multiple guests daily and there is nowhere for me to work, sleep or have privacy. I am torn between two homes that I don't live in.
i broke down. i have been crying for a few hours now, i am having a mental break down because i have nowhere to safely rest my head at night and can't have a moment of privacy to myself, let alone work or enjoy myself for a moment of leisure.
i need to book a hotel at my case workers suggestion just to have a safe place to sleep and work uninterrupted. i have basically no other options. it's a lot to ask for but it's my only option. thank you for considering me, anything will help right now while I'm going through so much.

A portmanteau is a type of literary device. It’s often mistaken for a compound word but is linguistically different since portmanteaus don’t combine two complete words (like “firefighter”). Instead, portmanteau words blend parts of two distinct words.
Lewis Carroll describes the idea of portmanteaus in his book Through the Looking-Glass:
“Well, ‘SLITHY’ means ‘lithe and slimy.’ ‘Lithe’ is the same as ‘active.’ You see it’s like a portmanteau—there are two meanings packed up into one word.”
The word portmanteau itself is an appropriate embodiment of this word form, since portmanteau, which is French for porte (“to carry”) + manteau (“cloak”), describes a suitcase that opens in two halves. Portmanteaus “carry” both meanings of their word pairs.
