alex didn’t only give us a satisfying ending, but he left mysteries unsolved, gave us new ones, and - incredibly - has made this show a living, breathing thing in doing so. i don’t see the show ending, i see the characters moving on: i see all of the possible stories this could create. it’s odd, but i’ve never been more pumped to be in the gravity falls fandom… than when it was ending.

this is a complete, complex story with unanswered questions, amazing characters, and it doesn’t even feel like it’s over; it’s really beautiful, actually, because childhood never really ends. it comes with you, wherever you go. growing old is mandatory, but mentally growing up? that’s optional. 

so here’s to being twelve when you’re a hundred and twelve, guys.
