To be very clear about this: CPUs aren't magical devices that can operate forever. They generate heat. They wear out over time. This happens faster when they're operating near capacity. This is not just an attempt to inconvenience you; this is an attempt to damage your property.

For the "crime" of not wanting to be tracked/have ads pissed into your eyeballs 24/7.

Even if you've paid for the "privilege" of the latter.

it is a free, open-source alternative YouTube front-end. in addition to not having ads, it has other great QoL features like a download button. try one of the several instances on that link up there ^^^^

so i was super pissed and concerned about this but i have just discovered that while this is true, it is apparently only true for google chrome users. i just tested this by having ten tabs open in firefox playing ten different youtube videos at the same time and my cpu usage spiked to 25% as the videos were loading and then dropped back down to 10% as they played.

if you ever needed another reason to switch to a different browser, this is it.

I have many thoughts about Wilhelm being the ranting/talkative type and how Ludwig, despite his attitude, actually DOES listen to every word Wilhelm says

I’ll write it down soon cuz there was a few panels that convinced me of it but I have to find them again

I will always argue Ludwig cares most about Wilhelm he’s just a tsundere that goes beyond our human comprehension of what a tsundere really is

He literally uses the classic “it’s not like I was trying to save you or anything” line. BASICALLY TWICE. (One when they were kids and then kind of another when he saved Wil from his execution). Dead giveaway man you aren’t hiding shit

Even though there’s not many breaks in character when he gets older, it’s rlly sweet to see he was actually a lonely child who watched Wil/Lisette from afar

Lisette is so funny for this tho like she could’ve totally had Wil wrapped around her finger but unfortunately she’s up against Ludwig who will do anything to keep Wilhelm as his pet

UGHHHH and the little things Ludwig would do when they were kids to keep Wilhelm to himself 😭😭❤️ he was rlly glad to have a person who depended on him and through his own… weird way… he wouldn’t let anyone else lay a finger on him. Ludwig was always alone but Wil was his first everything, it’s rlly cute how much Ludwig wants to hold onto that bond they share

This scene just so fucking cute. He had to be a lil tsundere but the hand holding gives him away. AND HIS LITTLE BLUSH. God I wanna see more of him like this when he’s older 😭😭😭 Wil’s cute lil “yes sir” while holding his cheek ughhh he cares sm for Lui too oh my babies

I think Lui cares a lot about Wil in his own way and his anger is part of that. Obviously yeah we see Lui get angry a lot but his anger at Wil in the aftermath of him being stabbed just felt SO personal

His face here when he hears that Wil is gonna be executed!!! Bro that is genuine fear, he worries for Wil. We don’t often see him panic but this is one of the few moments and it’s soooo important to me

He again expressed annoyance/anger at Wil but it’s obviously out of concern. He’s annoyed by how much Wil does for him, but why would Lui be so annoyed with Wil for serving HIM? After all he’s just a servant for the prince, you’d think Lui must be fine with it all yes?

I’m gonna talk out of my ass here as to why I think that is. I think he has always had a deep care for Wil but he doesn’t want to nor does he really understand. Despite his confidence and popularity, he’s never had any friends besides Wil and that’s noted multiple times in the series. He doesn’t have anyone he’s close to besides Wil (and then maybe Dorothea later on ofc). I think he’s not used to having someone rely on him and just enjoy being around him, he’s confused by Wil and chooses to be annoyed at him rather than understand what these feelings mean

His reaction is important to note. He’s spooked again and hit with a realization on what kind of person Wilhelm truly is. He now knows how much Wil sacrifices just to be his friend and how much Lui has unappreciated his work.

THE NEXT PANELS R THE FUCKING BEST

Flashback to what looks to be a younger Wil (just because his eyes r bigger and face is rounder, he looks like he’s prob around the age they first met or at least shortly after). Lui’s face looks apologetic too, his eyebrows are raised and he’s frowning a little. Him remembering that little boy who was so happy to serve him definitely triggered something in him

And then he’s kind to the older lady and accepts her soup, saying he’s now got a warm feeling (I think that feeling is him being happy for Wil in his life)

Stop wait rereading these chapters and I totally missed this part

She’s telling him to be proud of what he has :( which is Wilhelm. And then he curses out Julius and his mom for what they did. BROOO HE CARES SO MUCH 😭😭😭😭

Ludwig Kakumei is so fucking funny if u just see Ludwig as a hardcore tsundere the entire time. Like he’s REALLY good at keeping up the act he doesn’t care, but he goes thru so many lengths to save Wilhelm each time (like when they were kids for example and Ludwig wouldn’t let go of Wil’s hand)

Translation analysis part 2, responding to @godissax 's question:

I'll just literally translate it to English, top to bottom, right to left, and you'll see how confusing this gets:

Speech bubble 1: "Of course they can only play their assigned part, and they should do so with pride."

SB 2: "The freedom of choice also means making sacrifices." -> I think the "sacrifice to serve others" from the English version is way clearer.

SB3: "And you call those idiots, who cannot choose their own path of living?" -> This is where it starts to get really off track compared to the English version, because the English version directly refers to the servant-aspect of it all and to making Lui's life more comfortable, whereas the German one stays very generic.

SB4.1: "Those, who take responsibility for their family and sacrifice themselves without complaining are the true heroes." -> see above

SB 4.2: "Deciding to do that requires a strong will." -> Sadly, the pun does not work in German, so it's not even indirectly a reference to Will. 🙃

SB5: "That's why ..."

SB6: "...can you imagine the desperation of someone who loses that which he has done everything for?" -> I personally think, "given" instead of "done" would probably be the better choice of word here and, even more importantly, compared to the English, they completely turned it around! Where the English refers to what Lui has lost, the German version refers to what Wil has lost - which makes much less sense.

I think you can see now why this scene has always confused me a bit. There is such a gap between the text and the images and the meaning of it all stays so unclear, which is why I could never quite grasp to what extent LuixWill was really intended here. ^^°

So again, thanks a lot for posting the English panels, it made me very happy to see that it was not only implied, but really directly there on the page :D

Since @godissax asked what is different about the German translation, here's the analysis for the matching scenes from the first panels:

Generally, where the English version very much directly refers to Will by using "he", the German one sticks with the non-specific plural after "people like that" - so instead of "He was satisfied" and "He was helpless", it says "They [meaning 'people like that'] are satisfied with their assigned role and don't do anything to get out of it. They accept their fate, despite it being unfair ..." and "Weak people are like parasites...". So the language kinda obfuscates or weakens the relation between Lui and Will here.

This goes on here as well:

Again, Lui is referring to "them" instead of "him", and it sounds a bit different. The literal translation to English would be: "They are like trash, since they don't decide their own way of dying, but only fall into line. It's their/his [here there is no pronoun, so it's unspecific] own fault! I don't care!"

And instead of "You reap what you sow" he says "Everybody in his own way! ['Jeder nach seiner Fasson' is a famous German saying by King Frederic II. of Prussia] So what if he dies ..." - that's actually the first time, where "he" is used, so Lui is referring directly to Will.

And here ...

... the part with the kindness is missing altogether, instead, Grandma is only saying: "This can only say who has had luck from birth on. You should be ashamed!"
