It's been 37 hours since Tony left his lab. 17 since he ate, more since he had a 'proper' meal. 5 hours since he drunk something that wasn't coffee or whiskey. 45 hours since he last slept. 2 since his hands started shaking.
Tony recites these numbers in his head, staring blankly at the walls in front of him. Numbers, he finds, comfort him. His head won't stop: memories, doubts, fears, the whole lot. He's had 7 nightmares over the last 6 days. The last day he didn't wake up screaming was before Steve left for his mission.
It's been 34 minutes since he gave up on working. He counted that, too. He doesn't notice when someone walks in - in fact, he doesn't even noticing JARVIS warning him.
*Morgan had been told the news. The man who raised her for 5 years, left home, and died was brought back. She didn't take it well. Well, at least SHIELD thought her meltdown and then isolation was bad, Morgan was just trying to figure out how to tell her dad that she became a superhero in the years he was gone using some of his old suit tech and named herself after a rock band and/or a medieval torture device. Take your pick.*
*As she walked into the lab that was practically a museum of her father's work, she saw him hunched over a desk. She almost turned around to walk right back out, but stopped herself.*

Peter has been missing for months, gone without a trace. He'd gone out for a regular patrol one evening, all smiles and sunshine after successfully getting a hundred on his history test, and... he never came back. His suit was found in a dumpster a few days later, bloodied and torn to shreds with Karen knocked offline.
New York had noticed that Spider-Man was gone, but they didn't think much of it, assuming he'd just gotten tired of the hero gig and abandoned them. The students at his school didn't really notice or care, beyond his friends and a few other people who were curious of what'd happened. The Avengers kept looking this whole time, but they've found nothing, no trace of the boy beyond the suit and some bloodied handprints.
Now, a figure stalks through the night. His enhanced hearing is locked onto a heartbeat, his glassy, brown-eyed stare focused onto the target he'd been given. Killing said target is his first assignment, and he's been made capable of doing it well. If he doesn't do it well, he knows what'll happen. He adjusts his mask—dark and hard instead of colorful and soft, covering his mouth (which is slightly open to air four sharp, hollow, venom-filled fangs) but not his eyes—and prepares to pounce.

*Morgan had been searching for her brother frantically for months. It was unlike the boy to disappear like this. She had become sloppy and violent and agitated that no lead she followed lead to him. That's what led to her, exhausted and frustrated, leaning against the outside wall of a coffee shop, looking through her possible leads list. HYDRA is the only one left, but she can't do it alone.*
Peter watches her leaning against the wall and doesn't even bother with stealth. The girl looks exhausted, this'll be an easy job. He walks up to her head-on, his feet striking the pavement but hardly making a sound, and lets out a low growl.
*She perks up at the sound, looking around and spotting him. Her EDITH glasses read him as Peter, but that can't be him, right?*

He doesn't react at his name, but continues on towards Morgan. He grabs her shoulders and pushes her up against the wall. He knows he has to get her somewhere more secluded to kill her, though.

Peter's only response is a low growl as he pushes himself off the wall, towards Morgan again. He uses his super strength to spin her around and slam her into the wall he'd just been slammed into.

Peter has been missing for months, gone without a trace. He'd gone out for a regular patrol one evening, all smiles and sunshine after successfully getting a hundred on his history test, and... he never came back. His suit was found in a dumpster a few days later, bloodied and torn to shreds with Karen knocked offline.
New York had noticed that Spider-Man was gone, but they didn't think much of it, assuming he'd just gotten tired of the hero gig and abandoned them. The students at his school didn't really notice or care, beyond his friends and a few other people who were curious of what'd happened. The Avengers kept looking this whole time, but they've found nothing, no trace of the boy beyond the suit and some bloodied handprints.
Now, a figure stalks through the night. His enhanced hearing is locked onto a heartbeat, his glassy, brown-eyed stare focused onto the target he'd been given. Killing said target is his first assignment, and he's been made capable of doing it well. If he doesn't do it well, he knows what'll happen. He adjusts his mask—dark and hard instead of colorful and soft, covering his mouth (which is slightly open to air four sharp, hollow, venom-filled fangs) but not his eyes—and prepares to pounce.

*Morgan had been searching for her brother frantically for months. It was unlike the boy to disappear like this. She had become sloppy and violent and agitated that no lead she followed lead to him. That's what led to her, exhausted and frustrated, leaning against the outside wall of a coffee shop, looking through her possible leads list. HYDRA is the only one left, but she can't do it alone.*
Peter watches her leaning against the wall and doesn't even bother with stealth. The girl looks exhausted, this'll be an easy job. He walks up to her head-on, his feet striking the pavement but hardly making a sound, and lets out a low growl.
*She perks up at the sound, looking around and spotting him. Her EDITH glasses read him as Peter, but that can't be him, right?*
Peter..?
He doesn't react at his name, but continues on towards Morgan. He grabs her shoulders and pushes her up against the wall. He knows he has to get her somewhere more secluded to kill her, though.
*Morgan pushes him off her, slamming him into the opposite wall.*
Peter, what the hell?! Are you okay, just say something! Please?
