What is your full makeup routine?
My makeup routine consists in the products showed. In that order: brows, complexion, contouring, blush and highlighter, powder, mascara and lip gloss.
These are the shades:
- Dior concealer in 0N
- Armani luminous silk cheek tint in bold pink
- Armani luminous silk aqua highlighter in halo
- Mac multisculpt matte in taylor grey
- Morphe powder in brightening pink
- Diego dalla Palma Ciglione mascara in brown
- Kylie cosmetics gloss in daddy’s girl
- Mac lipglass in oyster girl
As you have probably noticed, some steps of my routine are missing (primer and setting spray, as well as a good lip pencil). I’m currently on the search for a good primer for combination skin, as well as a semi matte setting spray.
I approach makeup in a minimalistic way, and I prefer to invest in one single makeup product rather than having multiple low performing products. What I use has been tested or is under testing and shows a good performance. Overall the products I own perform really well on my own skin. Do I recommend them? Depends on your budget, your skin type and your personal preference.
Xoxo, theeditorialmuse.
A few days ago I made the impulsive decision to purchase this Dior concealer, due to the fact that there was a big discount on the product. It’s the best impulsive buy I’ve ever made.
The concealer is quite thick, but really easy to blend (I use my fingers to blend most of my products). It performs magnificently in my humble opinion, and it covers redness and discolouration really well.
Probably one of my favourite makeup tutorials.
Lovely.
These nails !!!
Some of my recent addition to my makeup collection.
The Morphe eyebrow gel is such a nice find, considering it also contains peptides that nourish the eyebrows. The gel holds my thin eyebrows together and gives a clean finish. Since I rock the 90s brows, I needed something lightweight to do the job.
The Morphe soft focus powder is overall good quality, but maybe not enough to keep my combination skin matte for a long time. It does have a brightening effect, which I enjoy deeply.
I’ve been obsessed with Armani makeup, and I’ll make a post on its own regarding the brand. The blush is perfect for my fair complexion, as it gives me a rosy effect without looking like I have rosacea (which is something many blushed cause on my skin). It’s lightweight and feels like skincare, almost.
Finally, the Morphe hot shot bronzing drops. I use them both as bronzer and as bronzing drops and they perform well on my skin. They create such a beautiful canvas for me to work with.
Another addition to my makeup collection is this Mac lipglass in Oyster Girl. It's a beautiful pearlescent baby pink. It's quite thick but moisturising as well. I don't usually line my lips as l feel it doesn't look good on me (perhaps I haven't found my ideal shade yet), so I usually focus on the lip glosses I wear.
