Death has many names, many faces, many personalities. However one thing is constant, Death comes for us all.
She is harsh, unforgiving, a heartless taker who shows no mercy to those in her grasp.
He is benevolent, kind, one who walks with you all your life. He knows every breath taken, every life born, every step ever closer to the end.
She is graceful, beautiful, gentle, every move calculated. Every leaf falling from its tree a choice by her, every mother, father, child a careful selection.
He takes unpredictably, no rhyme or reason to what he does. Disasters created for the chaos alone, for the souls to collect and add to his list.
She watches over our dreams, making sure we have our closure with those we love. When we wake with pain in our hearts she was giving her embrace.
He protects us from those who would harm us. He makes sure that those left defenseless are never alone when with him. That nothing can harm them anymore.
She promises vengeance to those who were wronged for everyone is already in her teeth. She makes those who harmed her children pay for what they've done, they shall never know peace in her grasp.
He is the winter, cold and harsh. He is pale and takes the warmth away as he gets closer. He is fresh snow untouched by anything, but even the winter carries a warmth and kindness.
She is the summer, warm and welcoming. She is dark and brings the sun with her. She is the fields touched by everything, but even the summer is cold and sorrowful.
Death has many names, many faces, many personalities. You already know many of them, but one thing is constant: we're already in the dance of the cycle.
So come, dance with her, enjoy her gifts and benevolence. Weep when he takes those undeserving of the end.
Dance with him, enjoy the journey and the scenery. Dance to remember those whose dance ended long ago, dance to celebrate with those still with us. Dance when your last steps are approaching and you can see her coming. Dance when you can hear his music and know it's not much longer.
Dance to celebrate who you were and who is yet to be. Because what is death if not the dance to celebrate life.
Always remember to enjoy the dance with him. So that when your end comes you'll have her to guide you through it, and even though your dance in life is over you shall always dance with Death.
