It’s like the void never left as things around me are falling apart. My twin is out-of-state currently and I had discovered something during our call that crushed me. I can’t even look at him eye-to-eye when I was trying to convince him that staying over there for about 5 months did not justify their long stay. It’s only been a day since my twin landed there.
Feeling so betrayed right now after I was convinced into believing that it was just a simple visit, on top of it being a week before lunar new years and our birthday…
I don’t know how to express my feelings, after the fact, but to dump it on a dark long fic that I was heavily considering on writing much later—that’s sitting in my Google Doc. Damn it

⏳️ - for environments and worldbuilding, id say Warrior Cats, watership down, and redwall (should explain me writing nature scenes sm lol...). For dialogue, those 3 plus Dune books! Id say other fanfics have the biggest influence overall tho.
💫 - it depends! The part i like is the part i imagined the most lol, but id say i like writing the middle parts/exposition most.
🐚 - listening to the right song or when i imagine the right thing lolol. Another is when i experience or read smtg (which can either be negative and positive) that inspires me. :p
🌟 - hmmmn energy and tone maybe? Ive recently liked going for a more classical/formal tone that has occasions wherein the energy just spikes up (i make it appropriate for the scene ofc) while still using classical or formal language lolol. Also maybe how i describe things but im not sure abt that aspect.
🪞- settings set in nature or mentions nature in some way. Ofc, i also love writing yurisere/predatorshipping and deep diving into what goes on in their heads. For plot points, its when two characters do smtg/interact with each other.

I had to watch a documentary about personalities today, and they brought up identical twins to show how our personalities are like at least half genetics, because identical twins raised in different families not knowing each other still end up very similar to each other. Usually even more similar than identical twins who were raised together. They had similar mannerisms, interests, and in studies made on identical twins it was shown they even look and sound the same when they laugh.
And now I'm thinking. That, but with the counterparts.
They have all these similar mannerisms and quirks that gives people serious deja vu. The yu boys who have eerily similar genuine laughs. Bracelet girls who all have the exact same pondering expression. They hand sort their cards the same way. The have moments of giving quips at the same time. The girls prefer their hair in different styles but run their hands through it the exact same way. The boys all have different rhythm to their steps but are all equally expressive with their hands.
Similar, almost identical, but not the exact same. On the same line but slightly to the left.
