Dweller Front To Back

Inspired by The Shining Front to Back, I applied the same trick to this dion to be classic noir piece by The Warped One.

If you've ever watched THE SHINING front to back (where the movie is transposed onto itself running backwards and forwards simultaneously), then you know what kind of fresh madness that is. I don't think Kubrick planned it, but his composition and pacing was no doubt deliberate and lends itself to the experiment.

Our dear friend Matty made this for us, our recent film THE DWELLER, front to back. While it isn't the same sort of artistic insanity that occurs with THE SHINING, it is very fun to see some of the juxtapositions of images. Please take a look and we hope you enjoy!

The 2 most important things I’ve learned this week about Pokemon Go

I am by no means an expert but I am also a tad obsessed. I started out just trying to get new and different Pokemon, and when I was able to catch a couple higher level Pokemon I started working on powering them up. I was catching low level monsters like caterpie for the moondust but then just transferring them.

I was doing it all wrong.

(Above - I held a gym down at the Navy Yard for a hot minute. It’s not my main priority anymore).

The main lesson being: LEVEL YOURSELF UP (not your Pokemon) and use those lesser CP Pokemon to do it. Don’t transfer them!

The 2nd lesson being: as you level up, you will catch more powerful Pokemon so leveling up your lower level ones is probably futile.

Haters gonna hate, but this game is so much fun and makes me so happy. The Pokemon craze did originally hit when I was a late teenager, but I had a little sister that was obsessed and that got me into it. I love talking to her now about this game and getting excited about Pokemon all over again.

The Last Gutting of Mary E.

(this is a re-post from MySpace and Facebook, back on 6/10/2008, after meeting with a vile EX after we broke up. I am posting this not to dredge up shite, but more for a reminder to myself that I was strong enough to leave an extremely emotionally abusive relationship)

Current mood: Invisible. I'm glad you wanted to me meet with me, to have one final manipulation before we could close this case. I hope all went to plan. You slid effortlessly between making conversation and telling me that I am sabotaging myself and my own happiness. Apparently I didn't try at all, there was no warning when i think I stated my case several times. One can only be accused and controlled for so long before they either break down completely or they fight tooth and nail to break free. And as you can see, I'm not there. Not anymore. I have learned to disappear completely. So you hold this torch for me, for my father, keep it going. Resign yourself to sadness. Leave your city, leave your life behind...the one you dare not leave before. The west coast isn't nearly as humid. Don't forget to start the Lonely Hearts Runaway fiance club with **** and **** before you leave. I'm sure they've been waiting for someone to organize. Victims of thee most wretched. You can be their martyr.
