One of the many reasons I love Falst as a character is because he's sort of a subversion of the classic "angsty loner" archetype. In a lot of ways he fits the box: angsty, antisocial, tragic backstory, trust issues, doesn't value himself enough, etc. But one of the defining traits of the angsty loner is that it usually takes them so long to even come close to giving someone their loyalty and trust. Most of them spend half the story complaining about having friends that love them and have to be forced and pushed and dragged into helping with the plot for so long until they finally accept they're a protagonist that has trust. Earning the loyalty of an angsty loner is no easy feat.

And then there's Falst, who joined the protagonist squad half of day after meeting them because they were the only people nice to him. Who continuously tries to help them and barely even bothers to disguise it. He hated Dainix the second he met him, but where it would take at least a season or two for other angsty loners to learn to like and trust him, all it took for Falst was a single night full of zombie-fighting for him to sell his soul to him and deem himself the Head of the Dainix Fanclub, Who is Always Always Going to Defend Him and Will Maul Anybody Who Hurts Him. He is not even trying to hide it, our catboy's classic loner self-preservation I-don't-need-nobody facade cracked the second anybody in the Floof Squad was nice and shattered completely as Dainix saying it's not actually a tactical descion to get eaten by zombies.

it's so cool that the human body gets handed estrogen and goes "ohhhh i know what to do with this!" and starts pushing the buttons for growing boobs and the menstrual cycle and stuff

like. the body doesn't know what organs it's got it doesn't know what's happening in there but when you start giving it certain hormones it knows what to do with them. a body that's been running on primarily testosterone since age 12 can be handed estrogen and it'll just adapt smoothly??? that's incredible!!!!!! a body that's been running on primarily estrogen for 20+ years gets ahold of testosterone and it just works??? i guess we doing new hormone now 👍
