Yeah, I have. I don’t care how tough you are on me, I want to improve and I’ll happily do whatever you think will help. I swear, I’ll be so committed. People want my mother dead, you know? My best friend has, well, he’s gone through a lot and he won’t be the only one… I can’t do nothing, so I’ll do everything.

Look, you have to realize that all the training in the world doesn't mean you're gonna be able to one hundred percent protect everyone you love. I don't need you thinking that this is gonna be something that's gonna guarantee that everything is gonna be peaches and cream. Got it?

Well I know basic healing, defence and attack but none of it in nearly enough detail or variety. When I’ve got into fights before my inability to perform silent spells has been a bit of a problem and sometimes I guess I’m not sure what my next move should be and I don’t really know how to asses my opponent. That’s what the books I’ve been reading say you should do, you should try guess your opponents next move so you can prepare for it and I’m finding that hard. I feel like I know just enough jinxes and charms for me to be able to disarm someone or make it incapable for them to attack me, I guess right now I’m just worried about my defence more than anything.

You’ve been thinking about this for awhile, haven’t you? Defense is pretty easy to teach, depending on how well you pick up. Unluckily for you, it’s not something that can be taught with just theory. It means practice duels, which will lead up to actual duels. I’m not gonna go too easy on you. Any of those arseholes out there aren’t going to that’s for sure. Silent magic isn’t easy but if you’ve been able to do some things it shouldn’t be too hard for you to improve on. And assessing the opponent comes with practice and hands on experience. You’ve gotta be committed to doing this, kid.
