We often relate our lives to a book. Each turning point in our lives is a new chapter of each of our stories. There’s 365 days of the year and each day is a new page. A new chance to write things differently. Lately, my friend and I have a habit of naming these books, Chronicles of ________. And today I’m a main character in my own series, a supporting character in several others, and occasionally the main character of someone else’s. But with every chapter of my own book I realize that I’m the main character of my own story, I don’t have room to be the main character of someone else’s. Today I’m ripping out my story line from the books I don’t want to be in so that I can continue writing mine. Today I’m killing off the characters that no longer support my own.
